Summary: The Enemy is about several groups of kids in London, England. Anyone that is over 18 contracts an unknown illness, that causes them to crave human flesh. Blue, the main character has to decide whether or not he should move all of the children, to a different location once the adults start attacking more and more. They lived inside a grocery store and the book tells the story of their long perilous journey to safety at Buckingham palace. The Enemy is full of action and suspense throughout the whole story.
Personal reflection: This book kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time I was reading it. The story made me feel scared for the smaller children who didn't know what was going on. I thought this book perfectly showcased not only how scary this situation was for the kids, but also how brave it made them; and how they chose to stick together with everything. I really enjoyed reading The Enemy and I want to keep reading the other books in the saga.
