If anyone has a book they would like to add, just let me know!

Erika (geekylibrarian) | 1 comments I think any of the Mary Roach books would be great! I haven't read Gulp yet, but this is a good excuse to do so. My favorite of hers to date is Bonk. Very entertaining and enlightening!

I read that one! Her research takes her some interesting places.

Emily | 1 comments Ditto for anything by Oliver Sacks! I especially enjoyed Hallucinations.

Hanna Saltzman | 2 comments Hi! I love Mary Roach. (Just finished up writing my first book and she was the person I kept coming back to as inspiration!). Gulp and Bonk are both great. Also her collection of weekly columns, called "My Planet," is hilarious but isn't science per se. I've been wanting to read Oliver Sacks. Just read "Seven Brief Lessons on Physics" (by Carlo Rovelli) and it's beautiful. Oh and "Bad Science" by Ben Goldacre is excellent--an entertaining account of the scientific process and why, with health science, it so often gets misused/misinterpreted. Ok I'll stop now, but looking forward to reading science books with you all! :-)

Hi Hanna, since you recommended "Seven Brief Lessons on Physics" would you like to moderate the discussion? I've set the date tentatively for September, but totally open to adjusting.
