Elethea emerged from the clear waters, sending droplets of water flying like glitter strewn in the air. She heard the distant laughter of a pod of Silene, most likely flirting with their king. The laughter faded until she could no longer hear it. She was alone for now. Her lips were the color of the inside of a conch shell and parted to let out a small sigh, the sound breaking the relative silence. She swam over to a rock near the edge of the water, her shimmering green tail flowing behind her. She perched herself upon it, running her slender fingers through her green hair and braiding it loosely. She rested her head in her hands, listening to the gradual rise and falls of the gentle waves.
Suddenly, her ears picked up on something more than the ocean, the sound of hooves hitting the sand and of the sobs of a child. She sat up quickly and scanned the area for the source of the sound. Her eyes fell upon the child and horse, who must have been in the forest, for there was leaves and twigs knotted in their hair. The horse stopped running when it reached the waves, realizing that it couldn't go any farther. The sobs of the child caused a pang of sorrow in Elethea's heart. "Don't cry," She said, causing the child to look up and realize that she was there. The child stopped for a moment, enchanted with Elethea. She slid off of the horse and walked over to where Elethea was. It was this sort of enchantment that lured people to their deaths, but Elethea wasn't going to drag off this child. When the child reached her, Elethea began to sing, causing the child to stare up at her in wonderment.

Alkia land onto the beach and changed back into his normal form with a huff of exasperation. Really, was it that much of a stretch to think that sending a little girl to ride through the forest alone, in an area where her parents had just gotten their throats ripped out was a bad idea. However those thoughts were quickly cast aside at the sound of singing coming from nearby. He was well aware of the power of the Silene voice or as some of the court of Soulion liked to cal it, "a mockery of the scared song of creation, used as a tool of destruction rather than creation." Still like all creatures who knew about the wider cosmos and had heard the song for themselves, he knew the intentions of a song, and could only hear love and comfort in the tune. So he let the enchainment embrace him and he pulled out his flute and played along as he slowly walked closer to the song.

At the sound of a flute, Elethea's eyes shifted from the girl to the young boy who was playing it. He didn't seem dangerous, so she continued to sing. She wrapped her arms around the child, who leaned against her breast, listening to the vibrations of her voice. Elethea was a Slyph man emerge from the forest as well. She eyed them suspiciously, as they bore no resemblance to the girl, causing her to wonder why they were here. The girl had clearly been through some trauma, so she worried that one of these people were here to hurt her. The child's eyes began to droop, and she yawned. Elethea smiled down at the girl, who closed her eyes and fell asleep in Elethea's arms. She stopped singing, stroking the girl's hair.
"Why are you here?" She asked, speaking softly as not to wake the child. Her sea-green eyes scanned them carefully, trying to determine if they were trustworthy or not.

"Apologies for the intrusion madam, but we found the girl that your currently holding in your arms after her parents were killed by horrible demons know as shades, and she got separated from our party when they attacked us again. We were just following her to make sure that she was safe and that she gets back to her people safely," Alkia replied as he put away his flute and smiled at the pair. "Though looking at her now, I can't help but thinking that she's perfectly safe and probably won't want to leave."

"The poor thing..." Elethea said, looking at her with pity. "As much as I would love the company, I can't provide her with the life that she deserves." Elethea looked at the girl forlornly, then back up at the two people in front of her. "Besides, if any demons come for her here, I won't be able to protect her." Elethea lifted her tail ever so slightly to prove her point. If the girl were ever to encounter danger somewhere away from the water, she wouldn't be able to do anything about it, and even if she were near the water, Elethea still wouldn't be able to do much.
"You know, my father was was worried about the exact same thing when I was born, him being a multi toned dragon and we being a little I fairy baby, he was worried that I was going to crushed for sure. However, while their were limits to what he could do with, everything turned out alright and I've turned out okay if I do say so myself. No doubt it will be hard and their will be sometimes you can't be their physically for her, but so long as you put give her the love and care that she needs, she'll be just fine. If you wish it. And as for keeping her safe while this world is overrun by demons I have the solution for that right here," Alkia said as he pulled a pear necklace and and two emerald ring out of his pack. "Now the necklace will give her the ability to breath underwater, so you won't have to worry about her drowning and sense the majority of these demons can't swim you two can't lay low until such time as the threat has past though if any danger should come upon ether of you, all that one of you has to do is shout firefly and the rings will take you to my homework of Douliom where you'll be safe. However in the day the recession is up to you two so how about you talk it with her and the prince once she wakes up." With that he moved off a ways to give the three some privacy.

Elethea stroked the girl's hair silently for a moment, deep in thought. "You say that you want what's best for your people. I assume that makes you the prince of the Sylph's, then?" She inquired, piecing together his mannerisms and the way he spoke. The decision weighed heavily on her shoulders. She felt as though these people had good intentions, but she wasn't sure if she would be able to care for the child. After all, she had never really been cared for herself.

((Alkia is going to stay clear of them until Elethea makes her decision so feel free to skip me until then.))
"Please, there's no need for you to bow. If anyone should bow, it should be me," Elethea said, "But, due to the current circumstance, I'm unable to." She motioned to the child on her lap. She laughed a bit, careful not to wake the child. "I can't imagine what she must be going through right now..."

"It seems selfish of me to ask this, but what would you do if you were in my place?" Elethea asked, "I'm a monster, no matter how hard I try to suppress it. I survive off of the blood of men. What will she think of me when she finds out?"

"Please, call me Elethea," She said, unused to being spoken to so formally. She gazed at the child for a few moments. "I will let her stay with me, if she so chooses," She decided, not wanting to leave her alone in the world.
It was at that moment that Alkia decided to walk back into the scene. "Has a decision been made," he asked clearly worried about the girls future, for even though he knew the princes promise of happiness amongst her people. He wasn't completely sure, and wanted to see her off with a smile, so that he could know for sure,
"That is, if she wishes to," Elethea said, gently nudging the child to wake her. She would be heartbroken if the child didn't choose to stay, but she would respect her decision.
((Should someone make the child? Maybe Cera would be interested?))
((Should someone make the child? Maybe Cera would be interested?))
((okay she said that she'll make her later today, so I'll just post this one last time then we can wait just have her sleep until she's approved
"By the great firebird that is wonderful," Alkia said as he grinned from ear to ear and tried to keep his voice down so as not to startled the already traumatized child. "And I have no doubt that she'll say yes."

((Okay just so that we can avoid confusion with four role players, the RP will go Astra, me, Spades, then Cera. If you don't think your character has anything to say, then you can ask to be skip. So Astrs it's your turn next.))

Laegolas smiled softly when the sylpth child woke up. He hoped she was okay. That was all he wanted. To know that she'd be okay for now.
Alkia found himself struggling to keep his emotions in check. This little girl had through a terrible ordeal and all because he wasn't there in time to what he'd been trained for decades to do. However, he could see the light at the end of the tunnel in how trust she put in Elethea's capable hands and he hope that she agreed to stay here so that they could leave on a happy note.
Elethea was a bit surprised when Isabella woke up, but nodded in response to her request. "Of course," She said, talking softly still, even though the girl had awoken. "I'm so sorry for your loss," She said, trying to console the girl. She seemed frightened, and Elethea didn't want to scare her off.

"Alkia Hyrax, son of the great dragon king of Soulion and member of the sacred order of dragon children. Though if that's to much you can just call me Al," the young half breed prince said with a bow.
"I'm afraid that I don't have any titles, but you may call me Elethea," the Silene said, her voice as smooth as flowing water. The sun hit her tail in a way that caused it to shine in an almost metallic manner.

"Pleasure to meet you, and thank you, according to my mother it means bringer of joy in the language of the fairies," Alkia smiled though that quickly changed when the prince brought up the elephant in the room. Still he added in firmly, "What we can say that this won't happen again. I swear by the firebird that we'll put an end to these demons so that no one else has to suffer your loss."
"Thank you," Elethea said with a smile when Isabella complimented her name, "I like your's, too." Elethea watched Isabella closely to see her reaction to the mention of her parents. It was a topic that couldn't be avoided. "And in the meantime, you're welcome to stay with me," She offered.

Alkia returned the hug with a smile. though that quickly changed to a look of confusion when she saw how tousle she was at the prospects of living here. "What's that matter Isabella? She's offering you a chance to live with her, isn't that wonderful?"
((Whoops, sorry. I didn't see this))
"I understand," Elethea said with a small smile, "It's hard to adjust to new things, especially something like this. While I can offer you my guidance and guardianship, it won't be that of a Sylpth."

Isabella bites her bottom lip as she stared at Elethea. She then looked at Alkia as she tried to answer him but in truth she was lost because when it came down to it she wanted to go home. She want to walk into her tiny wood house and have her mother look from her sewing with a smile and say. "Oh look our princess is home!" Her dad would come out from the living room and pull her into a hug before dancing around. But she knew home was no longer there. She turn away from the three adults and stomp away because she didn't want them to see her cry Her dad always told her to be strong and always keep her chin up. 'I trying.' she thought as she sat down with her back towards them. The tears started to fall as she stared at the ground. She wanted a reason why this happen to her. In the moment she promrised herself she will make sure no one will ever have to feel this way.

"Feel like the world don't love you
They only want to push you away
Some days people don't see you
You feel like you're in the way
Today you feel, as if everyone hates
Pointing their fingers, looking at your mistakes
You do good, they want great
No matter what you give they still want to take
Give your love and they throw it back
You give your heart they go on attack
When there's nothing left for you,
Only thing that you can do, say
Today, today, live like you wanna,
Let yesterday burn and throw it in a fire, in a fire, in a fire,
Fight like a Warrior,
Today, today, live like you wanna,
Let yesterday burn and throw it in a fire, in a fire, in a fire,
Live like a Warrior
Some things you should let go, they're only gonna pull you down,
Just like weight on your shoulder they are only gonna make you drown
We all swing high, we all swing low,
We all got secrets people don't know
We all got dreams we can't let go,
We want to brave, Don't be afraid
Ohh
Today, today, live like you wanna,
Let yesterday burn and throw it in a fire, in a fire, in a fire,
Fight like a Warrior,
Today, today, live like you wanna,
Let yesterday burn and throw it in a fire, in a fire, in a fire,
Live like a Warrior
Your heart is too heavy from things you carry a long time,
You been up you been down, tired and you don't know why,
But you're never gonna go back, you only live one life
Let go, let go, let goooooo, Let go, let go, let goooooo,
Today, today, live like you wanna,
Let yesterday burn and throw it in a fire, in a fire, in a fire,
Fight like a Warrior,
Today, today, live like you wanna,
Let yesterday burn and throw it in a fire, in a fire, in a fire,
Live like a Warrior
Today, today, live like you wanna,
Let yesterday burn and throw it in a fire, in a fire, in a fire,
Fight like a Warrior,
Today, today, live like you wanna,
Let yesterday burn and throw it in a fire, in a fire, in a fire,
Live like a Warrior"
Alkia wanting to cheer the child up and loving the sound of singing pulled out his flute and began play again. Only this time, he had it so that fire was literally dancing around him as he played and danced his happy jig.
Elethea hummed a harmony to Laegolas's song, her enchanting voice barely heard above Laegolas and Alkia. She watched them from her perch, unable to join them. Looking from afar, she was able to gain a bit of clarity. Perhaps she would be better off with them, She thought, although it hurt to admit it. After all, what good was a man-eating half-fish woman when she could have a life among other Syltpth? She sighed, and smiled sadly at Isabella, longing to comfort her.

"Yes, even though you parents arm't with you physically they're still there, all you have to do is close you eyes and listen to your heart and you'll find them," Alkia said as he state down beside the pair and began to sing an old tune that Gingeroot had once sung to him when she was his nurse.

They live in you, they live in me
They're watching over, everything we see
In every creature, in every star
In you reflection, they live in you.
((Sorry for if just turn this RP into a musical, I just couldn't resist! :))

Elethea smiled, visibly relieved that Isabella was feeling more comfortable around them. The whole experience had somehow brought four strangers together. It was all quite unusual, but somewhere the fates had aligned for their meeting to occur. She nodded in agreement to Laegolas's statement, agreeing entirely with what he said.
