I hope you don't mind me making a new topic, but I really want to know everyone's favourite author and to share new authors!

1. Your favourite author
2. Your favourite book by that author
3. What is it you like about him/her?

message 2: by Celestial (new)

Celestial I am going to do my two favorite authors. :D

1. Jen Turano and Erynn Mangum

2. Playing the Part and Every book by her :D

3. The reason I love these two authors is because they are both original and funny. They also are very clean and Christian. The romance in these books is not overdone, instead it is simple and sweet. :D

I've never read those two, I should check it up ;-)
Oh, and I totally forgot to list my favourites! Here we go:

1. My all time favourite is Lucy Maud Montgomery
2. Kilmeny of the Orchard
3. I love her writing style! It's entertainig to read, and you can never get bored of it! And of course that is probably the reason why her books are so famous, and also because they have a sweet and thoughtful plot.

I love L.M. Montgomery too. I've read almost all of her books. Have you read The Story Girl by her. It is my absolute favorite!

message 7: by [deleted user] (new)

I have read The Story Girl once, but not properly, so I'm re-reading it right now :-)

message 8: by Karis (new)

Karis It has a sequel too. I think it's called The Golden Road. It's pretty good too.

I know that, but it's not been translated to finnish and it's not available in our library, which is sad :-/

message 10: by Lydia (new)

Lydia Therese (susanthegentle) I have three favorite authors...

1. C.S. Lewis
2. The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe
3. He wrote my favorite book series in the world. Narnia is so magical, so wonderful, so satisfying. You feel as though you are there and it's JUST. C.S. Lewis's books are gorgeous.

1. Susan K. Marlow
2. The Last Ride
3. She's really nice, I've talked to her a couple of times over the internet. The Last Ride has to be her best book, it just made me cry so hard it's not even funny. My mom even started getting concerned about me...xD

1. Elizabeth George Speare
2. The Witch of Blackbird Pond
3. She's an amazing author. That's it. I've read almost all of her books except for "The Bronze Bow"...she has written two of my favorite books. There is not one book she has written that is not a beautiful work of art.

Would you be able to buy an English copy to read off Amazon or another online site? I don't know if you have a kindle, but on Amazon the kindle version is free.

brooke1994 (formerlynarnian525) | 81 comments One of my favorite Christian authors is Betsy St. Amant, she writes Christian Chicklit. I'm not a huge fan of secular chicklit, but I like it in the Christian category. Her writing is fun, and not preachy, which I appreciate. Her books have strong female characters and she places them in relatable situations.

message 16: by Faith (new)

Faith (faithpotts) Leona,
I haven't read "Chasing Jupiter" yet, but "Interrupted" is amazing! :D And Ms. Coker is a homeschool grad!

message 17: by [deleted user] (new)

Cool! I'll see if my library has them.

message 18: by Celestial (new)

Celestial I love Witch of Blackbird Pond! I am also definitely checking out Betsy St. Amant.
