Sure, if they come from different provinces. Like say one has been living in another province and applied in that province, etc. But yes, they can.
Anywhere from 15 to 25. The most common is 18 to 22 but by the laws of the selection, it's 15 to 25.
You get to chose. ^_^ All the families can be fixed up however you like, just make sure to collab with the other family members. I can totally adjust the Tsar, too.
Yesss, guys. Since everyone is putting up so many characters, all characters are approved unless told otherwise by a mod.
Question; say I have a character whose family is Caste 4 and he takes a job at the palace as a gardener; does he drop to Caste 7?
Mmm.... not necessarily. How did he get into gardening if he's a Caste 4? Does his family own a gardening business and he was hired by the palace?
In regards to the surnames of non-illean royalty, is it possible for a queen to have a different surname?
Mm, no. The Queen can have had a maiden name but when she marries she'd take her family name. For all foreign visiting royals, their surname is posted in the claims.
You can have two selected and I believe all the female selected have been claimed but there are male selected parts open :)
You are technically allowed to make 2 Selected characters! However, I think there is only one male vacancy left right now. ^^
I do believe all of them have been claimed. If not, there may only be one or two left at this point. People were allowed only three selected, so I think they went pretty quick. I can double check in a second for the exact number, if you'd like. But I have my doubts with the fcs the two princes have.
edit: I was correct in my belief; there are no available claims for selected.mod fiend

All of them have been claimed but because everyone is so excited for this and there are people joining who didn't get one, I am considering making it 50 selected because I don't doubt they would all be claimed and made.
XD No, you don't have to claim them if they're already working at the palace. The children of the palace is for children under the age of 18 who don't have careers already.
I wouldn't think so! If they're all grown up, they can't be considered children at this point. Unless they have a mental or physical affliction that causes them to be like children. In that case, I would say that they are or wait for Summer's answer.mod fiend

Nope! No Selected are to be role-played until I believe 35 are made :) That should be soon though!

As much as I want to, we cannot. Roleplay with the selected does not start until thirty-five of them have been made. Last I saw, we had around twenty done. No worries, though; everyone else is really excited so we'll probably be able to roleplay the selected this weekend.mod fiend

I'm going for the Rebel group."
There is no set age restriction, at this time. Depending on which side you choose, they may not have someone below 10 as a functional rebel or above 55+

Technology doesn't necessarily have to be "technology". The definitions for the word itself are as follows:
O1 the application of scientific knowledge for practical purposes, especially in industry.
O2 machinery and equipment developed from the application of scientific knowledge.
O3 the branch of knowledge dealing with engineering or applied sciences.
I can see there being a military tech specialist because the technology is usually to do with the military.
Hi :D. Okay, so I'm brand new to the group, and I have looked at a decent bit of the information I can find outside of skimming character histories to gain more insight. However, I still feel a bit lost. Is the main theme of the group the selection of a girl to marry the crowned prince (or two picks since there are two princes and one that's the true crowned)? That's what I'd originally thought, but there's also a rebellion in the works with two different sides that have different extremes, yeah?
So my questions start with the rebellion. What are they rebelling for? Are the royals bad at their job? I mean, I understand that there's pretty much always people who are going to rebel against anyone or thing, but is there any specific driving force behind either or both of the groups?
My next question, though this one I feel ubber dumb for having to ask, but what year is it in the rp? I get the feel that it's present day, but since it's lacking tech for the most part, is it like a present day but with elements of the past in the sense that life is a bit more minimalist?
I'll have more questions, so...I'm sorry in advance because I will be that questioning person for awhile haha. But I'll stop with just these for the first bunch of them :).
