The Training Grounds is where Flying classes are taught to first years at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry by Madam Hooch. The grounds are flat, short-cut grassy areas and are located near the Herbology greenhouses. It is overlooked by the Training Grounds Tower and the Defence Against the Dark Arts Tower.
During the 1996–1997 school year, the Hufflepuff Duelling Club held its practices in the Training Grounds. A secret room is located at the grounds.
