Will this rain ever end? I don't know about you, but I feel like this has become a permanent weather pattern for our area. There might be hope on the horizon, though (as well as warmer temperatures)!

With all the wet weather, it's the perfect time to curl up with a good book. What have you all been reading during our rainy season? I got sucked into The Big Bang Theory and Philosophy which is a great book if you love the show. I'm still working on Coined and The Fellowship and hope to start The State of Play this week.

Don't forget to go vote in May's Poll! We want to know who you think is the greatest literary hero or heroine. Make your voice heard!

Happy Reading!

The Big Bang Theory and Philosophy by Dean A. Kowalski Coined The Rich Life of Money and How Its History Has Shaped Us by Kabir Sehgal The Fellowship The Literary Lives of the Inklings J.R.R. Ann (ann-fracturedfiction) | 516 comments I reread a trilogy when I found out there are more books by the author set in the same world. Poison Study, Magic Study, and Fire Study by Maria V. Snyder (good books). I'm currently reading Murder in Morningside Heights by Victoria Thompson, and then I will read Sea Glass, Storm Glass, and Spy Glass by Maria V. Snyder (there is another trilogy linked to these 2- book 3 comes out next year).

I have heard so many good things about the Red Rising trilogy. Would you recommend it?

I've seen Poison Study floating around the library and I've always wanted to read it. I'm glad to hear a good recommendation for it. Now I might need to pick it up. :)

It's great insight into how girls are made, the way we think, how we perceive life and what's important to raising young women to be ladies. I'm learning things about myself even. Dr. Dobson is a Christian (as am I) so that is an underlying message, however, most of what he says is applicable regardless of beliefs.

He also has one for boys "Bringing up Boys" that was helpful for me with my 2 boys as well.

Thanks Sarah - I may have to check it out - I'm always looking for way to help my daughter become a young lady - 9-10 year olds don't have much of a filter no matter what gender.
