Hello. I'm BMB Johnson.

I've been a professional author of YA fiction since, I believe, 2014 but I've been a writer forever.

I have recently gotten myself into a multi-book series about a young girl and her parents who have to deal with a bunch of creepy monsters. I anticipate being there for some time to come.

Johndarby | 1 comments thank you for the invitation, my current project is an autobiographical, about some of my travels and encounters, though not a religious book, it is religiously inspired, and is in my editors hands,- self publishing.

message 3: by Jolake (new)

Jolake Bivins (jolakebivins) | 2 comments Thank you for inviting me, BMB!

message 4: by John (new)

John Triptych | 1 comments Hi I'm John, I write in at least two different genres and working on my second YA book in the same series. Thanks for the invite!

message 5: by Michelle (new)

Michelle Gilliam (mlnuttgill) | 1 comments Hi, Thanks for the invite, I've always been fascinated with coming of age stories. I was the mom with little kids watching Mean Girls or something high school.

I am an author, yes... just published last weekend. Yeah!!!
It's about a 19 year old though not a YA book.
2nd is finished and in rewrites. Trying to learn all the crazy marketing stuff. Rather just write but isn't that everyone's dilemma?

Always looking for a good book of in depth characters who actually do something.
Michelle

message 6: by J.R. (new)

J.R. Sweeney Hi thanks for the invite I like most genres except chic-lit and demon worship other than that I'm flexible

Thanks for the invite! I will need to look through my stash to see what books I've reviewed that I can share here.

message 10: by Lynn (new)

Lynn Hallbrooks (lynnhallbrooks) | 2 comments Hi I'm Lynn Hallbrooks. I've written and published in the Military Political Intrigue genres. I'm currently working on a collection of short stories that for the most part could be considered family friendly.

I've been known to read what was labeled YA on occasion. Some more recent books were labeled NA. I've gotten varying opinions on what is YA and NA.

I digress... I can mention this group to those that I read their books labeled YA and I have contact info for.

Ernie Howard (erniehoward) | 1 comments Hello! I'm Ernie I have been in indie publishing for about 4years now.

message 12: by Kaye (new)

Kaye Kelly | 4 comments Hello, I'm Kaye. I published my first Indie book last October. It's a YA and takes place in 1948/49m. Despite its title (The Body Snatcher) it's actually a bit of a giggle.

message 13: by Megan (new)

Megan Tayte (megan_tayte) Thanks for the invite, and nice to 'meet' you all. I'm Megan, and I write YA romance. So far, I've published a five-book YA series, The Ceruleans...

Death Wish (Ceruleans, #1) by Megan Tayte Forget Me Not (Ceruleans, #2) by Megan Tayte Wild Blue Yonder (Ceruleans #3) by Megan Tayte Devil and the Deep (Ceruleans, #4) by Megan Tayte Darkly, Deeply, Beautifully (Ceruleans #5) by Megan Tayte

... and now I'm working on a non-paranormal standalone.

My day job is in publishing (I'm a book editor and ghostwriter), but it's amazing how much harder I find publishing my own fiction. The marketing is by far my least favourite part, so much so that I'm pulling back on that aspect to focus more on writing - which, after all, is The Dream.

Wishing you all a great writing day,

Megan x

As my Twitter profile describes, I'm the author of odd but humorous science fiction - in the vein of John Sladek or a more violent Lewis Carroll.

Suzanna Williams | 3 comments A big hello from Wales UK.

After several near misses with agents, I self-published my first book, ShockWaves, a YA action adventure with a telepathic twist in 2012. http://geni.us/ShockWaves

My second book, Ninetyfive percent Human, a sci-fi romance set amongst the Welsh mountains, followed in 2013. http://geni.us/NinetyfivePercentHuman

After being distracted with real-life stuff for a while, I'm currently writing to both books.

Having a split personality, I've also just published a picture book under the name SuzieW.

Looking forward to some good reads.
Suz x

message 32: by Judy (new)

Judy Judy (judyandkeith) | 1 comments Hi,
We write mainly short stories for children through young adults.
You may ask why...our grandchildren started us off. We wrote Big T first as one of grandsons wanted a wrestling story and it's snowballed from there.
Our tag line is we write stories we'd want our kids to read.

message 33: by Lissa (new)

I had also taken a break from GR but am back after listening to this podcast on Author Biz the other day. Good stuff. http://theauthorbiz.com/how-to-use-go...

Pam Bloom (PamBloom) | 1 comments Hello people! Nice to meet you.
I'm very new to all this, though I've been writing for years. I'm self-publishing my first novel next month, have a second half written and am frantically trying to learn all this self-promotion stuff so I can eventually make a living out of all this. My dream is not to sell a million but to make enough money to live on (I'm very low maintenance). Looking forward to communicating with you all.
