ha!
Well he was a 'fastidious' type of creepy dude, if you know the kind I mean? Vegetarian, non smoker, non drinker..celibate, neatnik, always fussy about his dress and grooming. This quote might have been just a little too 'blunt'-- even for him!

Not that I'm long-in-the-tooth or anything (ahem!) but I remember reading a king-sized book on WWI in the days before the Internet. Author was Polish-American, but can't remember the name. Anyway, the book covered the Armenian genocide, and on one of the very last pages that quote (attributed to Adolph) was printed. But the sentence before it was possibly more interesting: Hitler declared he intended to destroy the entire "Polish-speaking race."
(The quote was the only text on the page, so the last thing you saw before turning the page was that "after all, who still remembers" question. Then once you turn the page, you see a huge double-page photo of a massive column of American GIs [WWII] marching toward the camera.)

But it made me crave to hear more. Churchill was well-known for his quotes, of course. Who else has some juicy ones? WWII only!
Here's the one which caught my eye today:
"Go ahead, kill without mercy. After all, who today remembers the Armenian Genocide?"
-- Adolf Hitler
