Rida Okay so black holes. It is believed that there is no concept of time in the center of a black hole and the gravitational pull is so strong that even light cant escape through it. So, if something is pulled into a black hole it could very well end up in a different time zone, past or future OR it could end up in another universe. Which would make sense! Because look, if the parallel universes theory is true and there are actually infinite universes parallel to ours then black holes can be a key to those universes. Because as far as we know, our universe is massive, if not infinite. So if it is infinite, that means there are an infinite amount of black holes in our universe. Then this theory makes sense because infinite parallel universes + infinite black holes being the key to those parallel universes = correct/awesome theory. Then this means somewhere in our future, people might be able to travel from one parallel universe to another.

Rida Thanks David. What do you think about black holes?

Rida True I agree. You could also say that we are time travelling but we are only going in one direction and can't control the speed of our travel. Thats why I was talking about it in a grand scheme of things and making a bigger jump than just one day or a couple of hours.

Also, staying on the topic of time. If someone believes that time is a human made thing then is time travel through these giant entities such as black holes or worm holes even possible as they are not made by humans?

Rida True, it does add a new dynamic. I wonder when or if ever, our species is going to reach that point though.

Rida Thank you. I'll take that as a compliment XD
I'm from Canada. How about you?

But yes I agree, it definitely is a while away. I don't think its going to happen in my lifetime which I guess is kinda sad but oh well.

Rida Yeah I read a bit of A Brief History of Time by him a long time ago actually. He really is brilliant.

A Brief History of Time by Stephen Hawking

If you want to recommend any books relating to these topics. I welcome it!

Rida We lead very different lives then because I'm surrounded by sky scrapers

message 8: by Rida (new)

Rida Which do you prefer? A more rural or urban lifestyle?

message 9: by Rida (new)

Rida Thats cool! I've experienced both and although I miss the sense of calm that comes with small neighbourhoods, I'm too used to the city now

message 10: by Rida (new)

Rida How come? (If you don't mind me asking)

message 11: by Rida (new)

Rida Ah okay. I totally understand. Even though it has been 10 years since I moved here, I sometimes feel overwhelmed as well. Thats one of the reasons I decided to choose to go to a university that was not in the main city
