The Malazan Fallen discussion

Interesting meeting two more azathanai in this chapter, especially Vix. Can we assume now that all races were created by the azathanai?

Any ideas on the Tiste and Humans that I've missed? Maybe Draconus and Kallor?

Do the azathanai just poof these races into being? Or some kind of half azathanai/half something else relations going on?

Haha ya, that was an eye raiser for sure. Not sure if that divulged anything on the creation of the races, but if you have any ideas we can move to the chapter 16 thread!

Lasa Vran, Hanako and Erelan, who is sick from dragon blood, meet a Jaghut coming up from the lake. His name is Raest and he will try to create new civilization (T’lan? Dog Runners?). Then Raest leaves and wife with two warriors meet some crazy Azathanai in form of old man sitting in nowhere. Three husbands are still following their lost wife, who thinks they are all dead, eaten by dragon. They too meet a Jaghut, in lone cottage, last refugium of Raest. After dinner they find out he is having another visitor, eleint Sorrit.

K’rul and Skillen Droe find a weird city, very huge, but ant-sized, full of insect, created by Mael, who they meet soon. From their conversation we learn those two are going to the coast of Vitr, where gate to Starvald Demelain is opened. And we learn Droe created skykeeps by destroying sunked mountain and making it airborne, with city in it. And he lost it afterwards. They leave Mael and meet two other Azathanai, Cera Planto and Vix, sitting in a stranded boat in the middle of the ocean. Vix is apparently creator of Trells and Thelomens. And is considering creating another species; Barghast.
