Pᴇʀsᴏɴᴀʟɪᴛʏ:
Brigid is the girl who puts on a show. On the surface, she's a very sweet girl, always aiming to please. She is bright, always with a grin on her face, and innocent. She can do no wrong, and she would never think to. All smiles, that's Brigid. She's cheerful, and adores her older brother. In short, she is the perfect little lady, albeit a little more full of bounce than most. She does nothing that's not expected of her, at least where people can see.
On the inside, however, Brigid is a little different. Spunky with a side of rebellious, Brigid doesn't see the point in rules restricting what she can and can't do, and will do what she wants. Under the radar, of course. Probably the only person to really see this side of her is her brother. Brigid follows her own set of rules, marching to her own drum — all without most people noticing.

Aᴘᴘᴇᴀʀᴀɴᴄᴇ:

Hᴇɪɢʜᴛ: Five feet six inches
Bᴏᴅʏ Tʏᴘᴇ: Slim but muscular
Hᴀɪʀ: Brigid’s hair is long and dark brown in shade; it is naturally straight, but she often curls it or wears it up.
Eʏᴇs: Blue
Dʀᴇssɪɴɢ Sᴛʏʟᴇ: Brigid loves light colors and fabrics, thus she loves dressing for summer. Her clothing is generally quite modest, though still flattering her figure.

Hɪsᴛᴏʀʏ:
Brigid is the youngest of the Selmy children, youngest out of four. As a child, she was loud, demanding, and would not take ‘no’ for an answer. Little Brigid's world revolved around herself and everyone else was simply an extra. In her world, Brigid was a princess, never mind that she wasn't one in reality. You could say that Brigid was spoiled as a little girl, and that may as well be right.
As she got older, though, Brigid realized she wasn't the center of the universe, and instead of being upset about this as many little girls are, she decided to make the world hers. She wanted to know everything. She started lessons young, only six years old, and would often go and sit with her older siblings as they learned their lessons. She loved learning everything she could.
By the age of twelve, Brigid was much further along in her studies than any of her siblings had been at her age. In the same year, her elder brother Oliver began to teach her archery, his own speciality. Brigid proved to be quite good at it, and enjoyed it. She also began to learn more manners, and observed how her sisters and other young noblewomen behaved, and took those observations and turned them into a sort of mask for herself. Many people didn't think young ladies should be the way she was — thirsty for knowledge and a little rebellious — so Brigid never showed them that side of her.
To all, Brigid is the perfect lady, kind and sweet and polite and everything she is supposed to be, even if she does like archery a bit more than most.

Fᴀᴛʜᴇʀ: Lord Selmy
(view spoiler)
While Brigid loves her father, she is not particularly close to him.
Mᴏᴛʜᴇʀ: Lady Selmy
(view spoiler)
As Brigid is very different from her mother in terms of personality and taste, she is only superficially close to her.
Bʀᴏᴛʜᴇʀ: Oliver Selmy
(view spoiler)
Brigid is very close to her brother, and he is the only one who truly knows her. He taught her archery, and has helped her hone the skill over the years.

History: (view spoiler)
Anya’s first memory was waking up to the smell of frying fish, feeling cold, and a pain pounding in her head unlike she had ever felt before. The next few days were foggy, but she always remembered those three things. She was told to rest and take it easy, until eventually she had gained her strength back.
Apparently she had suffered a major head injury, lost a lot of blood, nearly drown, and had caught pneumonia. The house she now found herself in belonged to that of a fisherman, his wife, and their five sons. The eldest two had been out fishing when they found her. They nursed her back to health, but try as she might, Anya could not remember how she had gotten in the water before the two boys had found her. Nothing from before the time she woke to smell the fish, shiver from the cold, and wince from that pain in her head.
Over the course of the next few months they taught her a great many things, getting her reacquainted with the world. The family nicknamed her Anya, after the mother’s mother. They assumed she was around the age of 20, and began to treat her like a member of the family, showing her the trade and helping her back on her feet. Tiny slivers of memories would come back to her every so often. Sometimes words in casual conversation would trigger her mind to reach for something from her past: Yoven, Tivell, dagger, blood. She got the feeling that she was either mad or hiding a dark past, and she didn’t want her new family to know either, so she remained silent.
Eventually, Anya grew restless in her new home. Constantly feeling that she was being watched or hunted. Though her mind could not form complete memories, she couldn’t escape the feeling that she was wanted by someone dark, which meant that her kind new family was in danger. She had to leave. She decided to travel to the Tivell kingdom, doubting that whoever was searching for her (if there was such a person) would not venture there to look for her.
Anya’s little fisherman family had made her who she was, and their kindness now lived in her. Leaving them was the hardest thing she had ever done in her short life, but she just knew they weren’t safe as long as she was around.
On her travels, Anya became acquainted with two things: Gambling and swordsmanship. She didn’t know how, but once she picked up a sword, it felt so comfortable in her hand that she immediately put it to the test, and muscle memory seemed to guide the blade so fluidly through the air, Anya now had confirmation that she came from dark beginnings. But she put it out of her head and focused on her fisherman family as her past. Whatever had happened to her before them was irrelevant. She was determined to keep them safe and live her own lonely life.
She made it to the Tivell kingdom. With her newly found skill with a blade she decided to defend those whom the greedy, proud, and cruel preyed on. Wandering from town to town, she is determined to leave the world a better place than she found it. It has been three years since she left her home by the ocean, and she continues to run from yet grow ever more curious as to what her first 19 years of life held.
Race/Ethnicity: Caucasian, British accent
Family: None that she can remember, but she considers her adopted family to be her real family.
Occupation: gambler (cards and sword fighting)
Residency: Wherever the ground is softest. An inn if her hand had been good at the tavern.
Education: Her family taught her nearly everything she knows.
Finances: Whatever's in her pocket. She doesn't starve… often.
Belongings: Two beautiful daggers that she won in a throwing match, and old sword she stole from a blacksmith
Transportation: She walks for the most part. If she’s lucky enough to join a caravan for a short time, she enjoys the company of nomadic gypsy types. She finds them rather fascinating.
Current Senario: TBD

Brigid Selmy is approved
Anya
- Could you please put somewhere that she's just a citizen? Maybe under "status" or something. Just so it's easier to know.
