Welcome to TCF Summer Camp.

Hello Muddah, Hello Faddah!

There are three sessions for you to sign up for - June, July and August. (In other words, you can do this challenge each month.)

Every session you attend Camp TCF, you must read a book from each section.
Easy Camp (you can re-read items from each section each month)
Hard Camp (you can't repeat a item if you use it in another session)
2 Week Mini Camp (any three items each month)

Books must be at least 150 pages (except for 'short sheeting a bed').

What to Pack :
flashlight - read a book set when there was no electricity
bug spray - read a book with an insect on the cover
compass - read a book where someone gets lost
hat - read a book where someone wears a hat professionally
canteen - read a book where someone carries liquid with them
poncho - read a book set where it rains a lot
hiking boots - read a book with boots on the cover
sunscreen - read a book where someone gets burnt (any type)
sleeping bag - read a book where the main character doesn't sleep in a bed at least once

canoeing - read a book where someone travels by boat/ship

This looks like a fun challenge but I don't expect to read six books each month. I don't get the summer off and June is an especially busy month. Maybe I can go to camp in July.

I think I don't understand the EASY - we can read less than 6 books a month if we use EASY? I'm confused with the definition of easy and re-read. Its easier to use the same title twice - one in two sections, for example - than to re-read it:)))) I'll be making a car with lanyards so I can't read 6 per month. Then I'm the pitcher on the baseball team so that takes up a lot of time.

Having never gone to camp as a kid, I decided to go with the easy level, so I have plenty of time to get used to my new surroundings (and plenty more time to waste in the crafts building, because I love me some crafts). Not sure since only two of us (so far) mentioned busy summer schedules. My summer reading plans also include a few thicker books (400+ pp). I may do a modified version on my personal thread. What did you have in mind?

I'm worried that folks may have looked at the Challenge and decided that it wasn't going to work for them, but didn't say anything. I was thinking that maybe a two-week Mini Camp would be that a camper would read any three items. As simple as that.
