I am almost done with the 2nd book. I only have this audio for another 6 days so I'll have to get to it soon.
Okay! I should be able to finish one of mine tonight so I can start this tomorrow too. I'll be switching back and forth though so it might take me a little bit.
I didn't finish my book last night but I did this morning. I won't be able to listen at work today but I'll be starting it this evening!
I haven't gotten very far because I keep trying to finish that other book up so I can concentrate on this one. Geez, it's long and never ending... I'm at 86% and have it bumped to 2x speed now but I have to go into work for a few hours. Will be finished today though and can concentrate on this one tonight.Apparently I've really forgotten a lot, lol. I don't remember much or anything about his Godmother...
No rush. Don't overwhelm yourself. This thread isn't going anywhere. I'll finish up today mainly because it has to be returned to the overdrive library in the morning. If you don't remember anything about his godmother that's cool. Neither do I. I don't think she was mentioned much in the first 2 books.
Oh good, at least I'm not alone with that! I've been on the fence with this series. I always hear about how awesome it is but while I enjoyed the first 2 books I wasn't exactly in a hurry to continue. However, I was told that this book was the one that hooks you and they get really good from this point on. We shall see!So next week I need to read an MM book, a book with an athlete or one that makes a phone call and well I can't remember what the 3rd book task is... wanna go for Something Like Summer? Or do you have anything thing else you want to read that works? I'm mostly caught up, I just can't keep reading these long books, lol. I don't have the attention span for them. Not this one, but the others I've been reading, lol.
I'm good with reading Something Like Summer. Just let me know when you want to start it.And this book is pretty intense so far. I'm liking it. I think it's better to go in as if the series is new to you. If you sit there and overthink every time somebody is mentioned trying to remember who is who then it'll ruin the book for you. Don't stress it. Just let it be what it is. If they say godmother then just take that as face value. It's his godmother now let's move on. If you try to wrack your brain trying to remember any mention of her or what scenes she was a part of in the last books then you will totally pull yourself out of the current story and ruin the rhythm. Just go with the flow, gurl.
Yeah, I'm not trying that hard, lol. The only thing I really remember about the last book is it had werewolves... the first one had a warlock. That's all I've got :) Okay, gonna finish this other book!
So I was able to listen to quite a bit at work today. Unfortunately I couldn't post stuff when I wanted to and now I'm sure I'll have forgotten some of it. Man, this had a lot going on!82%- (view spoiler)
Oh yeah, so I got my audio copy from the library and every once in a while it does the whole - insert disc 3-. It's kind of jarring and takes me out of the story for a minute since I'm not even listening to it on discs, lol. Just a little meaningless rant that has nothing to do with the actual story which I'm really enjoying!
Btw, I finished! I really liked this one. And I definitely want to read more from this series. This was action-packed almost from the very first page. On to the next one! Well not right now but soon :)
I also listened to the library copy and had to deal with the insert disc interruptions. Lol. And I have to say this book was definitely my favorite of the series. I'm excited to read more. I'll probably try to squeeze one more in this month
Oh! I might join you if I'm able to. Work has been a little wonky lately and I don't think that's changing anytime soon. Sooo....
