Hey everybody!

Starting up the June '16 discussions here! This month we'll be reading Memoirs of a Geisha as our Modern Classic/Popular book. This discussion will be SPOILER FREE so if you have read the book already, please keep the mystery alive and head over to the second discussion that allows for spoilers.

EVERYONE Has Read This but Me - The Catch-Up Book Club

Currently Reading > Memoirs of a Geisha

I'm going to read this one with everyone, but I won't be able to begin it until next week.

Started the book last night and already really enjoying it 50 pages in

I gotta pick it up from the library tomorrow. I was going to get an e-copy but there are too many people in line for it too. I'm thinking this will be a quick but decent read so I'm excited. :)

Ahh I'm not going to be able to start until Monday... I hope it's not a big book!

I read this one years ago, but I am 40 pages in and I don't remember anything so far. The writing is absolutely gorgeous! I am very happy to be reading it again.

I am power reading my other library books to get this one done soon hopefully. So busy this month!

I have gotten to selections two years after it was selected! However, even weirder, I discovered sometimes the club thread was still open, too! No matter, the comments still enhanced my reading anyway, even if it was a bit lonely. ; )

Actually that's quite common, I'm in a few different groups and they all leave their comment sections open for past reads. Some do catch up challenges too. I'm running one in a group I moderate.

It's nice sometime to chime in on an old discussion but it would be nice to participate in an active one lol.
