Heartfelt: A Senryū by Guy Duperreault
I wrestle my heart,
force my words into its veins,
will its contentment
while it insists on weeping
behind my embattlements.
Feedback and comments are welcome.Cast Away
I sat there
on the island
under the shades
facing the stormy sea
and the usual pensive clouds
now turned black searing the sky.
The winds
heavy, swift
tousles my soul
like a wet laundry
but without clothespin
it unhinges and flies away.
I turn to
burning boats
and then bridges
reminiscing the days
of the happy sun and beach
now only awaiting death's knell.
Attention: Just six more days to go, pirates! :)
Feedback and comments would be much appreciated.Lonely?
by Jane Jago
To walk alone can be sharp-edged pleasure
Can be thinking time
Creative time
Recharging of the batteries time
To walk alone can be refreshment to the soul
Can be contemplative joy
Quiet delight
A positive choice
Can make one a kinder person
To walk alone can be all these things
But to wake alone is hell
Found, then LostBy CP Cabaniss
I found myself in solitude,
on quiet walks with just my thoughts
Without the world's distractions
I forgave myself for past mistakes
Let go of all those years of self hate
I lost myself when I shut down,
blocked out all the other sounds
Thought that I could heal alone so I made isolation my home
I was found, then lost
I was broken
made whole
Only to be broken once more
Where is the balance between the two?
A fracture runs through my beating heart
Dividing my two separate parts
Found or lost?
It's like I'm living two different lives

Poet : Edward Davies
Feeling full of energy
From just a snatch of peace
Can make a man feel full of beans
And give his gears some grease
But knowing that you’ll never have
Another interaction
Can make imagination’s fail
And lead to self distraction
