Around the Year in 52 Books discussion

What a great book! Not something I would have chosen but my book club did. I love how this self-published author evolved her characters and wove this story. I felt like I was sitting on the front porch with them sipping sweet tea. It was sad at times due to the subject matter and the timeframe and setting. I found myself early in the book not wanting to read more as I was afraid how the story would go and I would be heartbroken. I did continue on and found I really loved this book and will add to my favorites. It's only 136 pages long but a lot happens. I highly recommend it!
