I'm excited for more on your story, Marthie! I love the beginning, because it hooked me, and it painted the information I needed to know in my head very well, versus starting out with a lot of flourishing metaphors and similes and whatnot, which would have been a bit harder to understand and wouldn't have fit with the story.

'K, so I just have to comment again because this sentence is just perfect: "the extravaganza was really a concert, banquet, and holiday bazaar wrapped into one, and it took place at hale park, downtown."

thanks, i don't think my writing is all that great so it's nice to know that people like my writing.
