Summary:
     A group of philosophers try and fail to blend in with society. Chaos ensues.

Nat has a tendency to think of things in terms of a priori/a posteriori
Jules is their expert on ethical dilemmas
Chris prefers reading about thought experiments to talking.
Ella just likes logic.
Lucy points out every single goddamn logical fallacy anyone uses. Innocently, and while giggling.

Madeline 'Maddy' King, granddaughter of Sir Harry King, is a part-time bank robber. Since her grandfather is good friends with the owner of the owner of the bank, she can get away with it. She always puts the money back - it's more of a test to her, to see if she can evade both the Watch and the workers.

My name is Blue Canary, and I'm a superhero. I'm not one of those famous ones you see in the newspapers, though. To tell the truth, I'm a sidekick. Nobody ever notices the sky blue super, and I barely cast a shadow.
Superheroes always have real names, and I'm one of the fantastically lucky with my name. Blue. I'm named after a colour. And my surname's just as stupid. Blue Heka, the Kiwi girl everybody laughs at. If only they knew that in my spare time I save people's lives. Actually, they'd still laugh. Until they see me fly, and watch in awe.
Who am I kidding? They'd never watch me, and certainly not in awe. I'm just that kid, the one nobody gives a damn about. Always will be.

Track 2. Lucky Ball And Chain
I lost my lucky ball and chain, and now she's four years gone...

We should have known it would end, but somehow, we didn't get the storm warning. We were young, we were stupid. Isn't that how all love is? It ends in tears and fists, throwing things we care about, then sobbing in the wreckage, face numb from lack of oxygen.

Four years on, I can look back and say with honesty that we were never meant to be.

Track 3. Istanbul (not Constantinople)
sit silently, keep your facade up. they'll never know.
who are we kidding? we'll never get away with it.

the blood won't come off, but i've given up. let them come.

Now it's over I'm dead and I haven't done anything that I want
Or, I'm still alive and there's nothing I want to do

You never realise how much you want until you'll never get it.
That book, the one you'd saved up for.
The app your phone refused to download.
School captain.
Someone that actually loves you.

You never apologised for making him your slave, maybe that's part of it.

But why a bag of groceries?

Track 5. Your Racist Friend
this is where the party ends
"Scum," he mutters, the bottle in his hand not sloshing anymore.
She calls him over. "Your friend is drunk."
"Black scum!" he says, swaying slightly.
She pushes the drunk man into his friend's arms. He seizes her wrist, and she feels that he could snap it as easily as a twig.
"You ****ing dirtface! Get the **** out of my ****ing country! You heard me! **** off!"
"Sorry," his friend mumbles.
"You're not sorry," she says, disgusted.
can't shake the devil's hand and say you're only kidding

Track 6. Particle Man
"Blue, Blue Heka."
"Nice to meet you, Blue. I'm Caleb. Caleb Wraith." I smile at the girl with the bright blue hair. "I'm from the Air Force, but I think you'd already guessed that."
She nods. "Yep. And if you think I'm signing up for it, no way."
Now would be a great time, Joseph, I think, casually moving the hands of the clock above us, letting the hands click into place at the twelve.
Right on cue, Joe jumps up and slaps Blue in the face. She's knocked out instantly, and once Joe is human-sized again, we drag Blue outside.
"Sheesh, this kid's heavy," Joe mutters.
"Shut up and pull."

Track 8. Whistling in the Dark
"There's only one thing that I know how to do well, and I've often been told that you only can do what you know how to do well, and that's be you. Be what you're like, be like yourself. And so I'm having a wonderful time, but I'd rather be whistling in the dark."
fear us. fear those people that have broken away. steal away their selves. they have freedom.
whistle in the dark. it's a signal. if you hear it, they'll kill you soon.

Track 9. They Might Be Giants
When we were children, we used to think that the men on stilts at the fair were giants. Naïve, sure, but we were. Four little boys, running through the stalls, ice cream smeared on our faces, screaming 'the giants are coming' at the top of our lungs.
