Hi All, My name is Kelly Artieri. I am an illustrator and now author! It still seems surreal to use that term in the same sentence with my name, but I am so proud to do so! I am thrilled to be a part of your group and am learning so much from each of you. I wrote "A Spot in My Heart: Loving a Special Needs Dog". It is not your usual animal story, but a memoir of the life with a deaf Dalmatian who struggled with many neurological issues. I am a passionate storyteller about real life; I tell it like it is. My writing style is a little different and I hope makes you feel that I am speaking directly to you as you read through my journeys. I am a bit of a smart aleck and have a sense of humor that will have you laughing.
This is my first book, and I am currently working on my second book in the personal memoir genre. I hope to read as many books from our group as possible and welcome any suggestions as I learn as I go!
Thanks for making me part of such an amazing group!
Kelly Artieri

Greetings, everyone. My name is Jonathan Fryer and I am a British writer, lecturer and broadcaster, based in both London and Fortaleza, Brazil (where I am at present). Since covering the Vietnam War as a very young cub reporter I have particularly focused on conflict situations and especially the Middle East and North Africa, notably for the BBC, though I also do analytical commentary for several Arabic- and Persian-language TV stations. I published 14 volumes of history and biography (notably a well-received short life of Oscar Wilde) with mainstream publishers before writing and self-publishing a childhood memoir last year, Eccles Cakes: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Eccles-Cakes...Writing that last book was highly therapeutic as it helped me to come to terms with the sexual abuse I suffered as a child in Eccles, Greater Manchester, before escaping my past to go off to Vietnam.
Currently I am writing a new volume of memoir, about the years I spent based in Brussels (1974-1981), initially covering what is now the European Union for Reuters new agency and later taking magazine commissions for stories about various parts of Africa, especially the Angolan civil war.
Best wishes, Jonathan Fryer

I began my professional writing career with newspaper and magazine articles, short stories, dual-language Italian/English poetry books, and cartoons. Nazi-occupied Rome sets the stage for my novel Bridge of Sighs and Dreams, where the lives of two women collide in an arena of deception, greed, and sacrifice.
My WIP is a “not-too-serious” diamond caper set in Venice.

Greetings, fellow scribes! I am Jonathan Fryer, a London-based writer, lecturer and broadcaster, these days teaching at SOAS university and being a "talking head" commentator for half a dozen Middle Eastern TV channels. As a journalist I have worked all over the world and I have written 15 books -- 14 with mainstream publishers, but my last, a childhood memoir, Eccles Cakes, was self-published. It's a book with a twist: surviving child sex abuse and heading off to the Vietnam War as a teenage cub reporter, thus launching my career. I am currently learning the pluses and the pitfalls of self-publishing, not least the difficult area of marketing, so joined the ALLi. Hi:I'm Tom Minder. I write mystery/suspense novels. Focused on South Jersey, and the casinos, I write tales of murder, mayhem, and skullduggery, mixed with humor, fast food, and characters unique to the Garden State.
Thanks for the invite. I'm such an introvert it has taken me three days to figure out how to say hi! (No one believes when I say I'm an introvert.) I'm a professor of animation and game programming, a text book author, and I finally I have let a novel out into the wild. That novel is Absolute Darkness and is difficult to quantify since it crosses genres. It captures my love of caving, thrillers, time-travel and apologetically has a love story in it. My hope is to continue to write novels and grow as a writer. Fantasy/thrillers (if there is such a thing) tends to be my home base. - t

Thank you for the invite and I'm looking forward to bandying some words with you.

Hello, Everyone! Thanks for the opportunity to allow me to introduce myself. I’m an established historical fiction author and an historian with two novels already under my belt—“Miriamne the Magdala - The First Chapter in the Yeshua and Miri Novel Series” & “The First Christmas: A Yeshua and Miri Novel Series Short”. I’ll be hopping into new genres this year with the publication of the first novel in my fantasy series (the result of my 2018 NaNoWriMo submission), “The Curse of the Dragon Stone: The Dragon’s Heir Trilogy Book 1” to be released at the end of April.
My goal as an Indie author is to pay-it-forward to the community that gave so much to me when I published my first novel, “Miriamne the Magdala”, back in 2015. So, aside from being a busy multi-genre author, I offer a variety of services and resources to the Indie community in order to enhance their reading and writing experience. My website features information about all my books, a FREE book review service called the Indies Helping Indies Book Review Project (#IHIBRP), and a FREE online Elibrary called the Indieverse Resource Library (#IRL). I also hold a holiday-themed book promotion service on my Facebook Author’s page nearly every month called the #IndieBookParade which matches Indie authors with readers so they can find their next favorite reads. In addition, I publish the bi-weekly Indieverse Newsletter (which you can subscribe to on my website) that features tips for both readers and authors, book promotions, IHIBRP Awards & recommended reads, giveaways, all my latest writing projects, and much, much more!
Please feel free to visit my website at AuthorJBRichards.com to learn all about me, connect to my social media links, and subscribe to the Indieverse Newsletter. You can also find me here on Goodreads and at my Facebook Author’s page at https://m.facebook.com/AuthorJBRichards/
Special thanks to Brenda for inviting me to join this group! I’m looking forward to meeting you all soon!
