Zombieslayer⚡Alienhunter (theslayingisthunter) | 153 comments Young adult books featuring protagonists who are alcoholics, not parents or friends.
It would be alright if maybe they both were, but I'm specifically looking for books (fiction, no self-help) with teens struggling with alcohol addiction.

Books I've already shelved: Other Broken Things
Last Night I Sang to the Monster.
^ Both marked as to-read.

Much thanks.
Peace.

Robert (ricroscupshigh) | 543 comments The Spectacular Now, by Tim Tharp. - "Sutter Keeley's the guy you want at your party. He'll get everyone dancing. He' ll get everyone in your parents' pool. Okay, so he's not exactly a shining academic star. He has no plans for college and will probably end up folding men's shirts for a living. Aimee's clueless. Aimee is a social disaster. Aimee needs help, and it's up to the Sutterman to show Aimee a splendiferous time and then let her go forth and prosper. But Aimee's not like other girls, and before long he's in way over his head. For the first time in his life, he has the power to make a difference in someone else's life - or ruin it forever."

The Year of My Miraculous Reappearance, by Catherine Ryan Hyde. - "Cynnie takes care of herself—and more importantly, she takes care of her little brother, Bill. So it doesn't matter that her mom is drunk all the time. Cynnie's got her own life. Cynnie's the one Bill loves more than anyone. Cynnie's the real mother in the house. And if there's one thing she knows for sure, it's that she'll never, ever sink as low as her mother."
