She pulled him in, smiling. "This is a warm place. If you're quiet, sometimes the nice people will read stories to you," she insisted, shivering a little from the cold.
She nodded, sitting him down at one of the tables. "You're someone who can read, right?" she asked.
"Huh? No... Magic for humans comes way diffrently. I was born with this. It makes changing clothes or storage really easy. Plus it shows me health bars above everyone I meet." He sucked in air at the last word.
"Oh," she said, "Wait, health bars?" she asked, "Everyone can see that when we enter fights, silly. It's how we know if we're winning or not, duh."
"No, mines diffrent. I can see yours and we aren't even battling. I don't have to engage a transition, instead, all I have to do is look a tap bit up. And compared to me... you have a low amount of life... even with the level your at."
"Oh, really? So it would be very stupid for me to actually try to fight you... I suppose it's dumb for me to attack anyone."
"No, compared to all these other monsters... your quite strong. But... why is the majority at base level?" He asked. Besides a group of monsters, they were all at level 1. He was confused.
"Base level?" she asked. "Oh! That LV stands for level of violence. It lets us know exactly how many people the person apart from us has killed, so we should know if they're evil or not."
"Thats what it means here?!?" He stated, feeling slightly horified. His level had been set to infinity. But Level ment diffrent from his home. "Whats the highest that they can go?"
She shrugged. "I don't know. The people here aren't murderers, so no one's really tried to press that far, you know," she told him casually.
"Yeah, but you can't see my level right?" He asked. He wasn't thrilled about his level down here.
"I didn't want to scare you. Its not something that you should worry about. But my level is over 100...
The girl froze, as if terrified, eyes widening in absolute horror. "Then- then the execution points you- you must have gathered-" her jaw dropped and her eyes trembled in their sockets.
"Look, where I'm from... having high level means something diffrent. It stands for how good of a player you are. if thats killing or cooking. It has diffrent effects for us. So, having a low level would be... you get the gist of it." He sighed, hoping that it didn't cause attention.
"Do, you really want to ask that question?" He asked, showing to her that his level had been maxed out on cooking skill, yet... he held many battle skills as well.
She didn't see the battling skills... luckily. "Oh! Then you will cook for me sometime, won't you?" she asked happily.
"I guess i'll have to." He chuckled, looking at the small girl. infact, many monsters were quite smaller then expected.
This monster really was quite small and fragile, trusting almost immediately. "Really? Oh, thank you!"
"Yeah, no problem." He chuckled, noticing a monsters level had been a tad bit higher then the rest. He pointed him out to her, asking who he was.
"They look like the monsters that were attacking me prior to our meet up..." Maybe they were looking for him. Yet... now knowing that they weren't even really high lv compared to the lv limit. But he wasn't gonna do anything infront of the two girls.
"Really?" she asked, "So... people do know what humans look like. Do you want me to help you disguise?" she asked, getting excited at the prospect.
"No... I can just use this." He switched his hat for a hood. It mached his outfit. His stealth skill had gone up.
She tilted her head, as if confused. "Hey... how'd you get to looking so different... and yet all the same?"
"Hmm, I didn't know that. But... they way you government works is as a kingdom as well?!?!" He was suprised at how much they resembled in humans what with lifestyle that is.
"Mmhmm," she nodded. "Yeah, of course it's a kingdom, but he's really nice. He helped bring santa gifts for the orphans this Christmas."
"Really, and he wants to destroy all of the beings in the upper surface..." He mumbled to himself.
"Huh? Oh! Sorry, I was just mumbling to myself! Uh... lets just check out the other spots... shall we?" He sighed, he felt bad that she heard that.
"Uh- no!" she said, "I... I don't think you should meet our king, then, if you think he's evil..."
"What?!? No, no no no. I don't think you king is evil. Maybe thats just my opinion on all kings. We don't have the best rulers in eagleland." He sighed, chuckling a tad bit.
