I found about 5 books in my TBR pile with pigs on the cover, but nothing with a cow or cattle, even the ones that take place out west. I guess Cheese will have to do.

Ha! I'm having the same issue myself with a few books that could fit the yellow, sweets/chocolate, and dog categories! I am sure I will end up moving things around, just like I did for June.

I did that with Death of a Kitchen Diva this month as I could have used it for the cat, poison and veggie categories Moving it allowed me use The Diva Runs Out of Thyme for one of the categories.

So, I was hunting down books for this challenge and found one for every category except for Cow Appreciation Day. I decided to to a broad search in my library's online catalog-I searched for "cow." :) Tons of books came up, mostly children's books, but then I found it...the one I'll be reading... Holy Cow by David Duchovny. Yep, as in the actor from The X-Files! So, not only can I use it for the July Mini Challenge, but I can use it for the "book written by a celebrity" for the 2016 Ultimate Challenge! :) I just had to share in case anyone else needed a book for either of these challenges. :)

Trying to find a book in my TBR for Cow Appreciation Day is tougher than I thought.

Killer Jam has a cow on the cover and the cow is part of this cozy mystery. It's a good book.

Avery Aames has a Cheese Shop mystery series and Chris Cavender has a pizza mystery series.



Some other culinary mystery series may have one with a cheesey theme. Like Hannah Swensen in a Cherry Cheesecake Murder

Finished my Cow book (Sour Apples) Saturday night, and read my yellow cover book (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory) yesterday. Am now on to my third book, which is also my third chocolate book of the month.

I am using The Path of the Crooked by Ellery Adams for the cow category as there is a big partial wheel of cheese on the table. This avoids having to buy a book to fill that category.
