Around the Year in 52 Books discussion

I read this for week 42. A top 100 fantasy novel. It might not be in the top 100 yet, but it surely will be!
Goodreads synopsis:

The day my mother was killed, she told my father I wouldn’t speak again, and she told him if I died, he would die too. Then she predicted the king would trade his soul and lose his son to the sky.

I've heard great reviews. This would not fit in my list now but still want to read this. Looking forward to what you think of the book.

I really loved the book! The language was beautiful, smooth and poetic, I liked the protagonists and the way their relationship developed.
