First, my apologies if this ends up in the wrong topic. When I do goodreads from my phone, it doesn't always put things where they belong.

I'm looking for answers from the under under-30 set. When you text, do you replace words with letters? Like, u for you, ne for any, etc?

Well...My sister-in-law is 61 and she does. Just FYI. But I don't.

Oh! There's one I do use. My one friend thought LOL stood for "Lots of Love." She couldn't understand the content sometimes. It went on for awhile. That was funny.

Actually, she really mis-used LOL once when someone in her family passed away and she texted that. Oooops! I think that's when someone stepped in and told her what it meant.

Oh, NO!!!!! That's awful and funny at the same time.

I don't and happen to know that my youngest doesn't either. He finds it a very annoying trait of the younger generation! LOL
