Fantasy Book Club discussion

I've picked up so many good books the past few months waiting on the one day sales. Saving $4-8/book is a great value. I know tablet reading isn't for everyone but I actually prefer it now with the added value of my books are always in perfect condition and create no extra clutter.

These days I tend to lean more towards historical than fantastical, so this was quite a change for me. Made me think of Dune, it was 1 part fantasy, one part sci-fi, and totally EPIC! Amazon Kindle daily deals have been a real bane on my credit card since I discovered it. Anything between 1-3 dollars that seems to pique my interest I snap it up and I seem to be doing it twice a week lately in 2-3 book amounts. With the intent that eventually I'll have time to read it.

Some really good series also popped up on that list too.

This needs to be a real post-life option - I'm only 21 and reading all the books I have planned is looking impossible to do in this lifetime if I include future releases.

I own enough unread books that will do me for a decade. And they keep writing more! I love having a throne to read on, thanks ;)

Sleeping Giants just went on sale for only $1.99. This book was just released a few weeks ago. I read an ARC copy and it was really good. I would recommend picking up a copy. You can't go wrong for $1.99.

Another good source of cheap books is your annual library book sale. My county has a 4 day event each year (about 400,000 books - half library books, and half are "once read" private donations in excellent condition). The last day is $3 per box (about 25 hardbacks in a box), and if you volunteer to help for 4 hours you get a $10 credit. I got all 11 books of Sword of Truth, the 3 volume "Black Prism" by Weeks, the second Abercrombie trilogy, etc.

Wow, I love library sales, but I've never been to any this good.

Ship of Magic which is the first book of the middle trilogy in the world of Fitz and the fool is on sale for Kindle $1.99 from $9.99. I believe this one is completely different characters from the ones in the first and third trilogies

Last month (or month before that, not really sure) I went to the book fair and got some really good deals! Bought more than 10 books and one of them 1st edition ;)

Don´t really read ebooks :/ I bought Prince Lestat and the Realms of Atlantis but don´t think it was on sale, no probably wasn´t

Downpour has a sale on The Grace of Kings for $5.99 for the audiobook. If you haven't ever used downpour you can buy sale items even if your not a member and the books can be downloaded and shared without any problems.
