Which theme does everyone want to read in Sept - Oct?

Nominations will be open until the 10th of July.

Some theme ideas:
Specific events
Seasons or seasonal books (Christmas)
Time (a book about a decade, or set in the future, alternate history etc)
Geography (Set in a specific country, continent etc.)

Carolien, I've never heard of it. What is tartan noir exactly? I'm just imagining guys in kilts.

You're on the right track, Scottish noir would be the other description. Think Ian Rankin, Caro Ramsay or Stuart MacBride as examples.

It turns out South African crime writing now has its own description as well - Sunshine Noir. First time I have seen it used in this article
