August marks the 1 year anniversary of this group! We have grown to almost 1,000 members since then, which is astonishing!!

To celebrate this amazing year with the group, Kayla and I thought it would be a fun tribute to do a sort of mashup of all of the past topics. This month, we ask you to recommend 1 book that fits each of those topics. Think of it kind of like a tag!

Based on the topics we've covered this past year, here is what it would look like:
-An underrated book
-A book set in school
-A creepy book
-A trilogy
-A book you think others should read ASAP/before the end of the year
-A fantasy book
-A book with little to no romance
-A standalone
-Your favorite survival story
-Your favorite book friendship
-A book set outside of the US, or that features travel/vacation
-A book with your favorite empowering female character

Hopefully this will be a good opportunity for newer members to cover older topics they may have missed, and for older members to revisit topics that they may have an updated recommendation for.

You may be thinking, "but that's so many topics! I don't want to come up with new recommendations for topics I've already done."
We want everyone to have fun in this group and be able to participate, so as always we are fine with you bending this however you need to to make it work for you. Here are some ways you can alter this:
-Skip some of the prompts if you want.
-If you missed an older topic, you can do a regular post featuring as many books as you want that fit that one topic instead of doing this mashup.
-If you've done all of these, we challenge you to pick your ONE favorite book from each category.
-You could talk about books you've picked up because of this groupd in the past year.
-Make a post ASKING for recommendations from your viewers for any or all of these topics that you're interested in.

Remember that you can title your post/video anything you want to because I realize that "Monthly Recommendations: 1 Year Anniversary" is kind of a mouthful and not very descriptive of what books viewers can expect to see once they click, although that's perfectly fine as a title if you want to use it. ;)

Thank you all so much for being part of this group! If you just joined, or have been here for a year, we are so grateful that you are helping make this group such a fun community to give and get great book recommendations!

(September will go back to a single topic.)

Stephanie Dickinson (lattesntypewriters) | 11 comments I think one book may cover a few of these. like the hunger games would definitely cover empowering female lead.trilogy and survival but of course other books would be in those categories too

You can use 1 book for multiple questions if you want to.

You can use a companion trilogy if you want.
