I am really enjoying that aspect of it too. I really appreciate how Ryan Graudin is able to write from the perspective of a 17-year old girl being held as a sex slave and make it horrifying without being gratuitous at all. You get that it's a serious situation and you feel horrified and sad for Mei Lee, but it doesn't go so far as to make me feel completely icky while I'm reading it.
