This book sounds so good. I've never read anything like this before.

I've read the first 5 chapters of this. I like it so far.

Gretchen (view spoiler)[I like how she is already beginning to see that Jews aren't actually subhuman. She was stopping her brother from hurting the Jew because she didn't like hearing the pain in his voice, and she cared about it. (hide spoiler)]

Gretchen's dad's death (view spoiler)[It is interesting what the boy met with told her. I am hoping we find out more soon about what really did happen to her father. (hide spoiler)]

Reinhard (view spoiler)[I don't like him. He seems to be filled with too much hatred, since he just beat up an innocent man who did nothing wrong. (hide spoiler)]

I've finished chapter 15 now. This is really good so far.

but also he's doing it slowly. He's not mad at her, like Ruth, even though he could be.
