The Summer Prince discussion

Does this book do anything but lift a couple of names from the Epic of Gilgamesh? I would be down for a modern-day Epic of Gilgamesh, but from reviews, I doubt that's what we're getting, which, I'm not sure why you'd allude to such a major work of literature and then run screaming from the other aspects, buuuut...
