I'm so excited to get started! Roll #1: 1+2=3
Landed on Baltic Avenue: Read one book from the fiction shelf.
I choose The Case of the Left-Handed Lady by Nancy Springer, shelved as fiction by 49 users.
Rolled 6+3=9Start: Go
End: Connecticut Avenue
Task: Read 1 book from the Books I Own shelf.
I'll figure it out when I get home tomorrow :p
Hey Madison, I was wondering if you would mind if I joined the game? Maria already responded to me via the sign up thread. Let me know! Thanks!
Awesome! I'll do my first roll.Roll: 5 + 6 = 11
Spot: St. Charles Place
Task: Read one book from the ebooks shelf.
Book: Cross Country shelved by 29 people as ebooks.
I have finished The Case of the Left-Handed Lady by Nancy Springer, shelved as fiction.Rated 5/5
I enjoyed the second novel almost as much as the first. It continues the story very well and adds new characters that will hopefully be seen in successive installments in the series.
I now own Baltic Avenue.
Roll #2: 5+4=9Landed on the Electric Company: Read a book where the characters have electric chemistry.
I'm going to have to visit the library for some new books to choose from. Hopefully I'll be able to do this soon!
You're right! I meant to do that after I posted, but I got distracted by something else and completely forgot about it. Thanks for the reminder!
I changed my mind. I'm going to/am reading the Martian for this. I tried to get into cross country but James Patterson just isn't doing it for me right now. I should be done with the book in a day or two. (Also can't link because I'm on my phone right now but I will later when I'm home from work.)
Sorry guys I forgot to bookmark this so I'll probably have quite a few books to update since my last roll :p

Review: Just awesome :D Couldn't remember too much from the movie, and I think I've only read the book once, so it was nice to get a memory-refresher :) So much happened in the book, it's crazy it was fit into 250 pages! And the last 50 pages, they still haven't figured out about the Basilisk and about Ginny. I actually forgot that (view spoiler) Loved this book :D Is it weird how every time I see a bare-leaved tree I think of the Whomping Willow? :p["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>

Review: This book was actually pretty cool. Glad it was such a quick read. I liked the multiple POV. And I like the fact it's a book about people with powers. I wondered whether (view spoiler) And it's pretty cool to read a story from the mean girl's POV rather than the bullied's. One thing I want to find out: (view spoiler) I'm glad this is a series, because I'm going to read the rest :)["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>

Review: Okay so this book took me a while to read, which surprised me. It was good though. The ending frustrated me no end though! I mean, how could she choose (view spoiler) I swear she has so much more connection with the other guy! (view spoiler) Reckon she made the wrong one. I was so sure this was the last one too, and then I looked it up and realised it isn't the end, so thank gosh! I was about to have a rage that that was the worst ending ever. Now just need to wait ages for the next one :/["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>

Review: Put this down 1 star since I first read it a few years ago, because Amy's emotions didn't annoy me as much back then, but I still really enjoyed it. I recently went on a horse trek after not riding a horse for years and it's put me back in horsey mode :p Not good. I'm happy I read this book though. The heart feels - both happy and sad and angry. Is it weird how I think (view spoiler) and (view spoiler) I kind of like Matt though. He seems sweet. But then again so does Ty :p I was so sad when (view spoiler) So much sad. But then anger when (view spoiler) I mean, (view spoiler) Pleased that I own the first 8 books in the series. I'll definitely be reading them.["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>
Wow Maddison. You're killing it. I guess I need to kick it in gear. Hopefully I'll finish my book soon.
Haha only because the books are all under 220 pages. I won't finish my current book for a few days, don't worry :p
Good heavens, Maddison! I thought I was doing good almost finished with my second book, but you're way ahead of me! I'm with you, Bryn, we're going to have to kick it into gear. Updating the tracking thread, next.
It's only because they're shorter books. I wont be doing that again for a while, I don't think. We'll just see, though, because we want to get as many books as possible read for Wobble :p My next book won't be finished for a while though.
Finished The Shadow of the Bear by Regina Doman.Rated 4/5
This was a reread for me, and I don't recall the trouble I had with it last time. The writing seemed poorly done, but the story was still very original. I will definitely be finishing the series.
I now own the Electric Company.
Roll #3: 3+5=8Landed on Free Parking: Read any book 100 pages or more.
This will be awarded to whichever of the books I'm currently reading I finish first!

Review: Okay so the one thing that may have lowered my rating was the love triangle, but (view spoiler) And the plot twist at around 90%!!!!!! Just woah. I had to go up to the bookstore before I finished to buy Cruel Crown and Glass Sword because I couldn't get enough. I'm glad I'm one of the people that liked it rather than one of the people that had to DNF it. I kind of put off reading this one for a while, even though people told me that once I started I would really like it, and they were right! *cough cough Wobble team* :p I'm really glad I read it, even though the obvious YA-ness of it exasperated me at times, what with the (view spoiler) but apart from that I really loved it. I found aspects of The Young Elites, The Selection and even The Hunger Games in this book, which are all really different :p["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>
Okay finally finished my first book! For St. Charles Place, I read The Martian and LOVED it. 4.5/5 stars. It was a really great story and the main character was adorable. I was also surprisingly into the whole stranded on Mars thing. The only thing that kept it from being 5 stars for me was the fact that it got a little bit predictable at the end.
Roll: 4 + 4 = 8Spot: from St. Charles Place to New York Avenue.
Task: Read a book from the Must Read Shelf
Book: Red Queen.
Funny that you just read it, Madison. I've avoiding reading your review until I finish it though.
Finished The Castle in the Attic by Elizabeth Winthrop. 5/5 Stars. This was a really quick read for me, and I really enjoyed it. The fantasy reminds me of "The Indian in the Cupboard," but the main character actually participates in the story in this novel.
Finished on Free Parking.
Roll #4: 3+5=8Landed on Water Works: Read a book that makes you cry.
Shoot, I might be in trouble with this! I don't cry often at books. This will require significant research...
Finished Red Queen for New York Avenue. The story ended up sucking me in and I read it in less than 24 hours. It was in a lot of ways a typical YA but I really enjoyed the characters and it kept me on edge the whole time. I loved the twists the author used with the love triangle at the end. I gave it 4/5 stars.
Roll #3: 7 + 3 = 10Spot: New York Avenue ---> Marvin Gardens

Book #1: Dare Me shelved by 15 people as recommended
Book #2: Unbroken: A World War II Story of Survival, Resilience, and Redemption shelved by 62 people as recommended

Review: I actually really enjoyed this book! I liked the fact that there wasn't much romance, and what was (view spoiler) I liked how original the story was, and how even though it was sort of dystopian, it wasn't typical. I like the background, and the pages seemed to turn themselves. I found myself constantly flicking back a chapter just to see how many pages there were in that chapter because I felt like I'd just started a new chapter. It was really good, and it surprised me. I was kind of expecting mediocre, but I enjoyed this :) I like the whole idea of (view spoiler) One thing I didn't quite like was (view spoiler) I found it totally freaky how (view spoiler) and (view spoiler) But I'm pleased that (view spoiler)["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>

Review: The first half of this book was really boring, but the second half picked up. It was kind of repetitive, but still pretty good. I still hate Cassie's selfishness, and her indecisiveness, and the way she's the strongest witch around even though she had no idea a while ago that she even was a witch. Just rather annoying, how that works. But I was surprised about (view spoiler) Of course (view spoiler) I'm kind of confused how (view spoiler) Doesn't make too much sense. Oh well. It's just a book. I thought the (view spoiler)["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>
Finished The Wishing Spell by Chris Colfer. This book was great! I finished in only two days. The story idea, while maybe not original, still had a lot of originality and class. 5/5 Stars, will definitely be reading the second book. This book was sad because the main characters' father had passed away before the story began, but the ending was a happy kind of sad.
I now own Water Works.

Roll Dice
Monopoly Rules
• You do not need to wait for the other player to finish reading before you take your next turn. As soon as you're done reading, go ahead and roll.
• Each property is represented by a shelf. For each grouping of shelves/properties you would read a certain amount of books from that shelf. Once you finish the amount of books you would then “Own” that shelf.
• If you land on an “owned” shelf you would have to read a certain amount of books above what the owner had to read.
• If one person “owns” all of the books in a group (think Mediterranean and Baltic) and another player lands on their properties they would be able to recommend at least one of the books that the player has to read.
• Utilities – For the Electric Company – Read a book where the characters have electric chemistry. For Water Works – Read a book that makes you cry. Books have to be 150 pages or more.
• If a player lands on an “Owned” utility, then the owner will recommend a book with electric chemistry or that makes them cry.
• Railroads – For Reading Railroad – Read whatever you want. For Pennsylvania Railroad – Read a book set in Pennsylvania. For B&O Railroad – Read a book that someone else thought stunk. For Short Line – Read a novella. Page minimum 150 for all but Short Line. 25 page minimum for the novella.
• If a player lands on an “owned” railroad, the owner will recommend a book for that specific railroad.
• Chance and Community Chest – there are 12 cards for each. If a player lands on one of those spots they will roll the dice a second time and then would “pull” the corresponding card and do whatever it says on the card. Once a card is used, it will be out of play unless needed to finish the game. Books for this would need to be at least 150 pages.
• Being in Jail – To get out of jail you would need to have one of the get out of jail free cards, roll doubles on one of your next three turns or read a book where a character is arrested or has been in jail. Books for this would need to be 150 pages or more.
• Just Visiting – Read a novella of your choice, 50 page minimum
• Free Parking – Read any book 100 pages or more
• Go – Read any book of 200 pages or more
• Luxury Tax/Income Tax – Read a book with a rich character, a really poor character or someone that works in a bank. 150 pages or more
• Each roll, you'll post your starting spot, the roll and your new spot on the board.
• When you finish your book you'll post the spot your on, book name, rating, when it was finished and a short review of the book. If you were supposed to read a book that had a specific element (water works utility, book that made you cry), then please mention that in the review.
• Re-reads are allowed.
