Hey, y'all! :)

I'm Aerykah (pronounced like Erica, in case you're curious). Most folks call me "Aery", but I answer to Aerykah, Aery, or JJ-- so you can call me whichever you like. ;) I'm what you might call the "current acting head moderator".

I've been trying to sort through the discussion threads in this group today-- re-organizing some stuff and all-- and I just thought that now might be a good time to start a new welcome/introduction thread and archive the old one.

So, whether you're new to the group or you've been around since the beginning... please take a moment to leave a comment. It can be a simple "Hello!" or you can tell us a little about yourself, it doesn't matter, but we'd love to hear from you! :)

So..... I know I already introduced myself, but here's a little bit about me:

I'm a 25-year-old Christian homeschool graduate from Oklahoma. I enjoy things such as reading, writing, and photography.
For the record: I am a sarcastic person. You have been warned. ;P

Shalom to all! :) I joined this group about 7 months ago and have met some new friends who are truly wonderful, warm, friendly people who have been a real blessing. :) You'll notice two names in the username area, my sis is a lot of times busy reading while I'm on here because she reads even more than me, so I'm the one doing the posting on here. :D In the spring of this year I started my blog Read to Your Heart's Content and I'd love for everyone to visit often. :) I adore finding more great friends! :)

My whole immediate family believes with our whole hearts and souls that Yeshua (Hebrew for Jesus) is the promised Mashiach (Messiah), and that He fulfilled promises in the past, is fulfilling promises in the present, and at just the right time as He planned in the future will fulfill the rest of the promises. He is faithful. I'm so very happy about that. And thankful. So very thankful for the peace that only He can give each of us, a peace that fills our souls. He gives every individual the only way to have eternal life with Him and He's taken care of everything so that all I had to do was to trust and to believe in Him to save me, asking Him to forgive me of all of my sins, which includes past, present and future. I don't have to worry about losing my salvation because that is absolutely impossible. All of our sins were in the future when He paid it all and took care of that. Only He can make things right completely. And anyone who wants to can believe and ask Him to save them like He did for me. No matter who they are or where they are, they just need to ask, believe, and accept. Once we believe, we show our love for Him by helping others and doing what we should as it says in the Bible. He loves and cares for each one of us and wants everyone to believe in Him and spend eternity with Him. <3 I appreciate prayer for all family members who don't yet believe. Thanks. :)

@ Gordon - Shalom! So cool to meet someone from Scotland, as far as I know you're the first I've met! :) I love meeting people from all over the world and have friends in Israel, Ireland, nearly every state in the US I think, England, Canada, Australia, Ghana, Russia, Belgium, and more! :)

Howdy folks, my name is John. I live in middle Tennessee and reading is one of my favorite hobbies. I love reading fiction stories and horror, but along side with that I enjoy reading my Bible, and books about creation. I am fascinated with the book of Genesis. We know THAT God created everything, but I enjoy hearing theories about HOW it all began. I'm excited to learn of the true story once we are called home to be with Him. Well, they did a pretty good job! Is Mr. Darcy a favorite character of yours, if you don't mind my asking?

That's what I told them. ;) I gave them a few options and they (they're 4 and 9) chose Mr. Darcy & said this was the best pic. And yes, he's definitely a favorite of mine. :)

I agree, that's one of his best! He's one of my favourites too! I also love Colonel Brandon from another one of Jane Austen's novels. I'd have to say he's my favorite, but Mr. Darcy's right up there at the top. :)

Oh, I do like Col. Brandon! And Mr. Knightley too. It's hard to choose a favorite... haha! ;)
