The Clockwork Scarab discussion

I am currently on page 33. From the beginning I have learned so much about London's culture. Anywhere from security to history. The most interesting fact I have found is someone may get a "Royal Medallion" if they have been found in favor of the royal family. Although in this book the "Royal Medallion" represents a curse that seems to be effecting the special people that recieve the medallions. The characters are facing a conflict because they were asked to pick up right where their relatives left off from in the Vampire Hunting. Their Relatives so happen to be Sherlock Holmes and the only woman who has upsmarted Holmes.
