Hey guys, I'm late, I know....the white rabbit has had a bad influence on me since I returned to work at Disney. It will be a late start but here is the thread to post August book suggestions.
And August's genre is URBAN FANTASY!! Now this is a bit of a tricky one, here is the definition of Urban Fantasy if you need it.

"Urban fantasy describes a work that is set primarily in the real world and contains aspects of fantasy. These matters may involve the arrivals of alien races, the discovery of earthbound mythological creatures, coexistence between humans and paranormal beings, conflicts between humans and malicious paranormals, and subsequent changes to city management."

Here are some examples of books, and of course I'll list my suggestions too :)

MY SUGGESTIONS:
Need (Need, #1) by Carrie Jones
Touch of Frost (Mythos Academy, #1) by Jennifer Estep
Evernight (Evernight, #1) by Claudia Gray

OTHER EXAMPLES:
The Summoning (Darkest Powers, #1) by Kelley Armstrong
Fallen (Fallen, #1) by Lauren Kate
Marked (House of Night, #1) by P.C. Cast
Unearthly (Unearthly, #1) by Cynthia Hand

So jump in quickly, I'll leave this open until the 28th (thursday) then I'll get the poll posted the next day and leave it open until the 5th of August!
Again, sorry for my tardiness. Work, writing and editing is making things more complicated that I had originally anticipated. If the group agrees I may go ahead and post the next 2 or 3 months suggestion threads in the next week to avoid this issue from happening again.
Thanks!
LH

I think posting upcoming threads is a great idea. Even a list of what the upcoming categories will be ... so we can tuck away those good ideas and not forget them.

Here's my first suggestion for UF month:
White Cat
White Cat (Curse Workers, #1) by Holly Black
