Okay everybody! Our books have been selected! Who else is excited to get reading? Get ahold of your books in your chosen method. Night Film is available on Audible. Both are available for eReaders or in paperback from your local libraries / retailers. Start reading whenever you choose!

Threads for discussion will go up later this week. As mentioned in the latest newsletter, the books will be divided into chunks for this discussion. Depending, there may be prompts or questions to help guide discussion.

So, let's get talking. Which book are you planning to read from our August selections? You can read both or neither if you so choose!

Jessie Marie (jessiemreads) My copy of Night Film is on it's way to me and I'm headed to B&N tomorrow to *hopefully* get a copy of The Quick and the Thread. Admittedly, The Quick and the Thread is totally outside my wheelhouse - I've just never had great luck with cozy mysteries. But I'm definitely willing to give this a try!

Heather | 123 comments Woohoo! I'm excited. Both of these are ones I've wanted to try for a while.

I am really excited to read both of these!! I ordered mine and they have shipped and are on the way!! :D I can't wait!!

message 6: by Laura (new)

Laura | 3 comments I will definitely be reading Night Film as the NH Books Consortium has it, so I downloaded my copy today. I don't know if other states have this or not but the NH public library system has some ebooks and some audible books available online. You use your library card to access the books and they can be out the same length as regular library books. Anyway, I will be reading it on my Kindle. The Quick and the Thread isn't as easily accessible to me. It looks like my library has other books in this series but doesn't have this one. Depending on how quick I read the other book, I might go and ask if the book has been check out or if it might be available somewhere else. Super excited to get started reading!!!!

Gemina | 3 comments I will be reading / listening to Night Film . Really looking forward to getting back into my old book worm ways . Unfortunately due to 'me' time restrictions, I'm choosing to listen to the book so that I can stitch at the same time . I'm hoping this will encourage me to take and make more time to actually read books again . :)

message 8: by Tammy (new)

Tammy | 3 comments I'm definitely going ro read Night Film. If I have enough time for both, I'll read both.

message 9: by Cheryl (new)

Cheryl I will read "Night Film," and if time permits, "The Quick..."

message 10: by Amy (new)

Amy Davidson | 3 comments I borrowed Night Film from the library yesterday. I also have another August book club book to read so I'll try to get to The Quick and the Thread if I can fit it in.

message 11: by Monique (new)

Monique (button_addict) I decided Night Film because my librarys audio book system had it, I still want to read the quick and the thread though so I am requesting it from our library

message 12: by Trisha (new)

Trisha (trishar517) | 2 comments I borrowed Night Film audio from my local library online, and started listening to it a couple days ago. Looking forward to it!

message 13: by Heather (new)

Heather | 123 comments I think I'm gonna look for the audio version of Night Film too, since it is a bit of a chunker.

Stephanie (Once Upon a Chapter) (stephanieatonceuponachapter) I'm reading both. I suggested The Quick and the Thread and it is a good read. Just remember cozies weren't meant to be taken totally seriously. They're always a little silly.

Night Film was on my list so I'm glad we're reading it!!

message 15: by Monique (new)

Monique (button_addict) I prefer the audio books because I can stitch as I listen and it helps on days when my fibro makes reading hard to do

message 16: by Allison (new)

Allison Corbin (allieh02) | 5 comments I was able to borrow both books through my library's e-book loaning system last night. Excited to get started!

message 17: by Sandi (new)

Sandi | 2 comments I was able to borrow both books from my library!!! I am excited to start : )

message 18: by Laura (new)

Laura (lovesrubberstamps) | 2 comments I was also able to get both at my library also! Picking them up this morning :) Night Film called to more between the two choices, but I am going to give both a try!
