Professor Blumen sat behind her dark wooden desk, flipping through a textbook.

Kat shuffled into the classroom pretending to be annoyed she was there. In reality she loved potions but she had a reputation to uphold she wouldn't risk it by being that nerdy girl excited for class. She glared at the teacher as she took her seat.

Mint shot back a glare, and closed her book. She looked across the classroom and grimanced. "Hello, class." She said in a monotone voice

Kat sighed staring at her nails. Eww were her cuticles always that terrible? She looked back up at the board playing her charade of nonchalance well. Deep down she couldn't wait for class! Her first year at Ilvermony!

Mint stood up and beckoned at the blackboard. Chalk writing appeared instantly, reading LOVE POTIONS; THE DANGERS AND ALLURE

Kat sighed loudly enough for the whole class to hear. The sigh was half for show but it also annoyed her they were starting with the potions.

Mint walked towards Kat's desk and glared at her. "Katherine? Do you have anything to add, my dear?" She said, her voice dripping with false sarcasm

"Has anyone ever told you your eyebrows are in need of some serious plucking?" Kat said almost rudely. Inwardly she cringed and laughed at the same time.

((Kat's an interesting character isn't she? *laughs*))

"Has anyone ever told you that you shouls shut your little mouth, or have something terrible happen?" She slapped Kat's desk

Kat jumped backwards. Ok maybe she'd gone a little too far. "Sorry," she said reluctantly.

Mint folded her hands behind her back and walked behind her desk. "Now, first years. I've heard from the Headmistress that you're quite advanced for your grade. We won't be brewing today, so put your cauldrons away."

"First years," Kat scoffed what class am I in?!?" Had her schedule gotten messed up....again.

"Aren't you?" Mint scowled and checked her forms. "Ah. Transfer. You'll probably learn a few things. You seem quite ignorant"

"Ignorant?!! Look who's talking!!"

"Proof. Now silence." She snapped

Kat sighed then pulled out a bottle of Lavender nail polish and began to do her nails.

Mint produced her wand and Kat's nail polish flew into her hand. "As I was saying, proof."

Kat rolled her eyes. "Excuse me but who died and made you queen?"

"Who died and made you the teacher?" She spat as she filled out a detention slip. "Report to my room at your free period"

"And who's to make me," Kat said with a hair flip and an eye roll.

"The headmistress. Now be quite."

Kat gave a sigh so loud it could wake the dead before slumping down in her seat. Annoyance coursing through her veins.
