This week we have an interview with author Andy Love!
1) How long have you been writing and when did you first start? Although I've always loved to write since Primary School. My passion was deterred by both teachers and my father, on the premise that it’s not a proper job. My passion sparked off again when at college, in my early twenties. My love for writing evolves every year. I won't give it up again, no matter what.
2) Where do you get your ideas? (Readers always ask this question.) I would have to say that most ideas develop from seeing or hearing something factual. It sparks the idea, then I research and the idea grows. Sometimes I can be at my day job, in the middle of a meeting or checking IT documentation and a totally unrelated idea pops in my head. The stories I write the quickest tend to come from night/daymares. I tried eating more cheese at night as it's intended to encourage nightmares, but I think it’s just a myth.
3) What is your favourite genre? Oh, I love to be scared, so yes, I love well constructed and preferably, original horror in most forms.
4) What is the name of your latest book and where can readers find it? My first book is Short Shocks Volume I The paperback or PDF version is on my storefront at http://stores.lulu.com/andylove Or, it is available for free electronic download FREE for the month of July only from https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/21... You can also view my video trailer for the book here.
5) If you had to give one great book recommendation, what would it be? That's a difficult one, there are so many. Stephen King, Misery. Thank you for listening to me babble. This was enjoyable.
