In the middle of a clearing lies a lake, with moonlight glinting on its smooth surface. The water hardly ripples, but the peace is a deception. Get too close and unknown dangerous creatures will pull you in. Try to drink the water if you may.

Juliet strolled along the lake, bored.

Richard sat in a tree next to the lake, thinking. maybe death wasn't that bad of an option. he'd be reunited with his parents

"Dark thoughts, huh?" Juliet appeared behind him out of the darkness.

Richard wasn't startled. "I guess you could say that"

Juliet smiled. "And why are these occuring? Many of you humans think about death but thinking it'll be good is a first."

"my parents are dead, my adopted father and I aren't on the best of terms, I thought maybe I could rejoin with my parents" Richard shrugged

"Well, shall I end things? Although I advise you thinking like that is harmful. Dying is not fun, trust me."

"no, especially not falling. though I love falling" Richard stood up

Juliet shrugged. "I've fallen too many times to love it."

"seriously" Richard then smirked and jumped off the tree branch

Juliet made no move to catch him. She smiled and leaned back against the tree trunk.

Richard spun in the air before landing, solidly on his feet on the ground.

"Heh. You think you can fool me."

"I'm an acrobat" Richard said. "Falling is what I do best"

Juliet rose an eyebrow. "I know every thought which passes in your head, human." She landed gracefully next to him.

Richard shrugged. "you know, Whenever someone's asked what power they wish they had, flying is always at the top of the list. But I have to admit. I've learned to love falling too."
