YA novel where boy and girl bond over an accident they witnessed where the ppl involved died. It involved a lake I believe. Stand out traits of the book involve that the eighteen yr old girl later finds out the boy is fifteen and they distance themselves over that but she keeps a YELLOW HAT he gave her. Read during high school (2008-11). Had a one word title I think like Somewhere or Everyday or the like. The girls' mom was a teacher and the boy had a big family. There was a scene where they made rice crispy treats. The boy drew and played baseball or it might've been the girl who drew. It all took place during winter bc it was always snowing and the lake involved had been frozen. The cover was clouds light blue/light pink
