Heidi Angell (heidiangell) | 31 comments Hello Lovelies,

I am a big indie reader fan, but sometimes you have to weed through a lot of... not so great books to find the good ones. I thought it would be fun to create a list of recommended indie books.

What is an indie book? A book that wasn't published by a major publishing house like Random House, Penguin, Simon and Shuster, MacMillan, Hachette and Harper Collins.

How do you know if a book is Indie? Look in the front and see who published it. IF they aren't one of the big six publishers above, they are probably a small press/ independent publisher. Recommend those authors here.

Heidi Angell (heidiangell) | 31 comments I would like to recommend the latest indie book I just read, which is GREAT for those who like Science Fiction/ Fantasy.

The Journey of the Marked (The Miyran Heir, #1) by Rebecca P. McCray Miyran Heir by Rebecca McCray was one of the best sci-fi books I have read for awhile. I cannot wait to read the next book!

I'll recommend Unsaid Things by Gary Smith. Imagine if you had an ability where people could read your thoughts. Sounds mortifying, right? I thought this was an interesting book to read.
