End of Days discussion

Jules and I are reading End of Days, anyone else is free to join too!

There's 70 chapters total so I'm thinking I will try to read 12 chapters a day. Susan Ee's chapters tend to be fairly short.

I am in though I have read it. I m reading it again. He is soo hot.

I read book 2 last month and book 1 the month before. I want to finish the series before I consider a reread :)

Chapters 1-12: (view spoiler)[ Good start! The bed scene in chapter 4 was pretty steamy, especially considering how angsty Raffe usually is about getting physical with Penryn. His reaction to their first kiss in book 1 certainly wasn't romantic.
I'm actually annoyed at Raffe for being so dramatic about falling in love with a "daughter of man". He's not even one of the angels right now - at least until he gets his wings sown on again - so what's the harm in enjoying the time he has with Penryn?
Pooky Bear is probably my favorite character right now. Love the idea of a sentient sword. (hide spoiler)]

I had chosen Monday and Tuesday to catch up reading book 1 and 2 I will put up my comments after work today for the first part of book 3 that you both read

Okay! I had every intention of talking about chapter 1-12 yesterday, but then I decided to quickly glance at book 1 and 2. I forgot how amazing they were! I read both books in one day. I'm crazy and sleep deprived now!

(view spoiler)[I agree with you. Even though Ee kept the action going so fast, I wanted more of Raffe and Penryn together in book two. I don't see how they can end up together.

As for Beliel, I understand him somewhat now but I hope he's sees what he has let himself become. It's tragic to me that because of Raffe's betrayal and the torture of Mira that he has let himself go. He's such an underdog that I feel like rooting for him.(view spoiler)[ (hide spoiler)] (hide spoiler)]

I fully intended to keep up with the 12 chapters schedule but I got pulled in and finished the whole book in one sitting yesterday! Oops. I will still comment though:

Chapter 24: (view spoiler)[ I'm glad Josiah's back! I've taken a liking to him despite his betrayal in book 1. The concept of an angel being shunned for albinism was really creative on Susan Ee's part. Josiah is also realistic, his motivations seeming human. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 29: (view spoiler)[So far, it's a surprisingly close election. Surprising in that Uriel has been campaigning for so long, and Raffe and Michael haven't even been here.

Chapter 39: (view spoiler)[ now that Raffe took the apple from the pit lord I feel certain he's going to use it by the end of the book. Chekhov's gun and all that. (hide spoiler)]

Chapters 57 and 58: (view spoiler)[ Dee and Dum are so awesome and funny! They're insanely good at entertaining.
