Hey everyone! I love to read and write thrillers. I grew up reading Robert Ludlum, Stephen King, and Dean Koontz, among others. Glad I found this group. I'm off to get some book recommendations.

Hi, Alice. Your "Welcome to the Family" URL is Camille Saint-Saëns - Danse Macabre performed by the National Philharmonic Orchestra, with conductor Leopold Stokowski: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YyknB...
Yes, that's the same guy who conducted the orchestra the Disney Studios used for the 1940 original version of the movie FANTASIA.
Anna: Your "Welcome to the Family" URL is Hex Girls from Scooby-Doo and the Witch's Ghost: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1P_Bl...

Hello to everyone!I am a fairly new member and am posting for the first time. I like to read all kinds of different genres, but I have a special place in my heart for suspense and thrillers.
Hi, Randee. In honor of Halloween, your "Welcome to the Family" URL is Sir Christopher Lee's rendition of the Burl Ives song Ghost Riders in the Sky: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5PWuv... The song is a basically a Wild West-style retelling of the myth of the Wild Hunt. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wild_Hunt is one source of information about The Wild Hunt and http://norse-mythology.org/the-wild-h... is another. It was also used as a plot device by Jim Butcher in his Dresden Files novel Dead Beat, in which the title character, Harry Dresden, turns the pride and joy of the Field Museum, Sue the T-Rex into a zombie to protect himself from a ritual set up by a group of necromancers on Halloween...which also happens to be Harry's birthday.
omg Amber......this is so perfect. I've never heard this Christopher Lee rendition and it is AWESOME and I love the violin that accompanies him. And I've, of course, seen the wonderful 'Sue' at the Field Museum, one of my all time favorite places in Chicago. The Field Museum lit my lifelong enthusiasm for ancient Egypt when I was around 8 years old.
Now I shall have to read Dead Beat...lol....this was just a perfect reference....thank you for making me feel so welcome!!!!!
You're welcome (pardon the pun, please!). Not sure you want to make DEAD BEAT your first foray into the Dresden Files, since it's book #7 in the series. If you've never read anything in this series, I suggest you start with the graphic novel WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...
Hi, Dhruvee. Your "Welcome to the Famly" URL is Macho Duck - Mickey Mouse Disco (1979) HQ: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1rE5L...
