I envy people who have chance to buy it. I have to wait till 22nd of october (premiere in my country) ;(
I get it at some point today or MAYBE tomorrow. Should I read it? Is it bad? Does it ruin the series?
I finished reading it a couple of hours ago! I am making a review at the moment which I will post tomorrow. I am still deciding how many stars to give it. Unfortunately, it won't be a very favourable review! :S
I finished reading it a few hours ago. It was good, I guess but I gave it 4/5 stars only because it was good to learn more about what had happened to the old characters. It did not the same AMAZING writing style of the other books. And I personally love lots of details in books and because it was a script it could not have all of the details that I love in Jk Rowling's books. I am sure that it was an amazing play, but as a book, it was not quite worth all the hype.
My mom is driving me to the next town over to get the book today! My town doesn't have a bookstore.
Ravenpaw/claw~Alas! Earwax! You're just as sane as I am (-Luna Lovegood) wrote: "Almost finished. Page 307. Harry is afraid of pigeons! Did you know that?"
Nope!
Nope!
I can tell you two of his other fears. The dark and small spaces, those two make sense because of living in a cupboard for 10 years
Finished..awesome start and then somehow it looses steam after act one. Lots been said about it being a play. Somehow the difference seemed trivial to me.
Im reading Cursed Child for the third time now
I loved this book! I read it twice the day it came out. I've been dying to talk to someone about it, but no one around here has finished it! I was a theatre major, so that maybe part of why I loved the script format. I felt that it made it faster paced, which i enjoyed because it reminded me more of the first three books, rather than than the last two. It included almost everything I had hoped to hear.

I read it twice the day it came out too :) It was just so good!
I think that while it had some wonderful moments, and Scorpius was a delight, it didn't hold together well.
Megharin wrote: "I didn't think HP and the Cursed Child was the best......it was a little eh....."Ya I agree. Plus the part with the trolley lady was just not Harry Potter.
I'm not too far into it yet. I think the writing could be better; however, it lets me relive the magic a little.
I was really disappointed with this book which I'm gutted about. The story was quite fun but there were so many plot holes and I thought the characterisation of most of them was terrible. I consider it as a fun fan fiction but I don't consider most of it canon. The only things I accept as canon are Scorpius Malfoy and Draco being a good Dad.
Ya I was so disappointed. Especially with the Ron character. He was nothing like J.K. Rowling first wrote him.
I agree with the Ron thing. And I never pictured Albus being like he was!! I think they got lots of characters wrong. And the trolley lady? What was with that??
Do you think it can be a movie ? There are rumors about Warner turning it into one. Do you think it would be nice ? Maybe better than the book ?
It depends on there casting and how well they put the scenes together. The Cursed Child I think could be a great movie. But it could also be a disaster.

A trilogy ? :O
Maybe Julia is right: imagine if the movie is terrible and we have to watch 3 of them? It could ruins HP series =/
