4. Fatal Rhythm is described as a Christian thriller. Do you think those genres mix well? Do they work well together in this book?

Jill A. | 942 comments I don't think the categories are mutually exclusive, but I don't think the author mixes them very well. At least in this tale, relentlessly pursuing the answer to a mystery fits a bit awkwardly with the role of prayer and miracles.
"Thriller" seems to require a villain; Christianity refuses to see anyone as unredeemable. I was troubled by how close Joe came to killing that villain.
