Drew walks over to the dauntless table and sits down in a chair. He puts his feet up on the table class in their combat boots. He shrugs off his leather jacket and sits there waiting for someone to ask him a question.

((Its for initiates to come ask questions about initiation...I think we are sticking to only one trainer per faction table though so you don't need to deal with this))

((Your initiates can go ask questions))

Bea turned around the corner. Alas, another option. She knew she would have to appear strong here, no shyness. Bea strolled over as confidently as she could and said, "Hello. I'm Bea."

message 8: by [deleted user] (new)

"Sup? I'm Drew. Welcome to the dauntless table." Drew drops his feet to the ground and looks at the girl.

message 9: by [deleted user] (new)

"Erm, good to be here." She smiled. Bea stood, tentatively on the spot. "I just have a few questions for you, if you have time, that is." She didn't want to waste this man's time. But isn't that what he was here for? To answer questions?

message 10: by [deleted user] (new)

"That's why I'm sitting here. Now what do you want to know?" He asks.

message 11: by [deleted user] (new)

Without waiting any longer, she immediately thrust herself into her first question. "What's initiation like?" Bea asked. Initiation was probably one of the most important questions someone could ask.

message 12: by [deleted user] (new)

"Well you come and train in martial arts, combat, throwing knives, basically tests in your physical shape. That is the first half. Usually there are a few who don't make the cut and end up factionless. For the second half you are put under a serum that simulates fears you didn't know you had in a fear landscape. To get out of the landscape you need to conquer your fears one by one. That's also the way to pass the final step of initiation." Drew gives a generalized version of the proceedings.

message 13: by [deleted user] (new)

Bea nodded, not portraying anything. She made the mistake of doing that at the last table, not again! "And what about the status. Are males and females treated equally?"

message 14: by [deleted user] (new)

"Yup. Every initiate, male and female, must do the same things in initiation. Girls can be chosen to fight boys and vice versa. We don't go easy on anyone base on gender. Everything is the same." Drew says. He smirks. If someone is truly dauntless they will find it amazing to get to fight whoever comes at them.

message 15: by [deleted user] (new)

Bea sighed, "What I meant was, everyone is treated equally. The males are not favored, correct?"

message 16: by [deleted user] (new)

"This is correct. It's also what I just said. Everyone does the same thing. Same room. Same bathroom. Same lunch. Same training time. Same serum. Same amount of freedom." Drew states.

message 17: by [deleted user] (new)

"But you made it sound like you went easy on people, I wanted to know about equal rights." She sighed and decided to just move on. She wasn't going to get anywhere with that one. "You said same room..."

message 18: by [deleted user] (new)

"Indeed I did. There is one big barrack style room for all initiates. Everyone gets a bunk that they make their own." Drew says. Some people find that uncomfortable, especially transfers.

message 19: by [deleted user] (new)

Bea nodded slowly. She shared with her younger brother, so there really was no difference. Was there? Well, the boys were her age. "If I'm gonna be Dauntless, then i'll live with it." She decided aloud. "But you also said same bathroom..."

message 20: by [deleted user] (new)

"I said that too. Off the barracks is one common bathroom for all initiates. You share. Everything I the same. That is except fear landscapes which are specific to each person."

message 21: by [deleted user] (new)

"Ew!" She hollered out. "Why would someone share a restroom with the opposing gender? That's unsanitary!" Bea recovered herself then asked, "What's a Fear Landscape?"

message 22: by [deleted user] (new)

"You are put under a serum like in most factions. This serum causes you to go into what feels like reality where you must conquer your fears in order to get out. Fears emerge that you didn't even know you had. Typically someone must go through about 15 fears to finish the landscape. You go from fear to fear until you get through all of them."

message 23: by [deleted user] (new)

Bea nodded slowly. "That's really nice." She muttered. "And what is the average person's personality?"

message 24: by [deleted user] (new)

"Dauntless are usually brash. They tend to think little o you until you prove that you are worth their time. They do things like zip line through the city and jump into the dauntless compound from the top of a building. Most are adrenaline junkies."

message 25: by [deleted user] (new)

((I'm going off for the night.))

Bea's eyes widened. "Ziplines? Through the city? Sweet!" She exclaimed. After calming down, she asked, "What about the food, what's that like?"

message 26: by [deleted user] (new)

((I was just gonna say that))

"Meat. Simplest way to say it. Lots of meat. You sit at a table and take food from platters in the middle of the table."
