Do you read light books in the summer?
Do you prefer to take some time and concentrate on a challenging book?

Alison | 1 comments Yes! "Summer reading"! I always think that I will settle down with loads of mysteries or "fun" novels and rabidly work my way through them; however, the reality is quite different. My sense of time is strange, looking back to some idealized time in the past, perhaps as a child, and I think that I have more time in the summer than I actually do because my children are not at school and we do not go on vacation for weeks on end. So I will maybe read one nice mystery and continue with reading what comes my way via book clubs or through my library list. And if I am lucky enough to have a few days in a row where I schedule more relaxing time then reading a book that requires more concentration is definitely something I think about. Life gets so fragmented! Bottom line is that I will read a variety of books throughout the year and it seems dependent on others, opportunity, or my mood rather than the weather, despite what I think I am going to do!
