Yep, I agree. Which is why I usually buy a shitload of books at book sales like BBW or the Popular RM5 Fiesta. But, I've heard of a bookstore in KL which sells cheap books, 1 for RM10, 3 for RM25. It's called Sunmag and I think it's located at KL Sentral, if I'm not mistaken. You should check it out!

You can also gets a cheap books at Book Xcess in Amcorp of if you want secondhand book for Rm 3-10 per book, yu can get lots of it in Amcorp flee market on every Saturday and Sunday
There's a secondhand bookshop which also sells new (but quite outdated) books in Seremban 2. It's quite comfy and the books are cheap. The name is Book Catcher .
As commonly known, if you came to Penang, can go to Chowrasta Market, or sometimes I prefer book exchange with Penang Book Exchange (search their Fb) in 3rd week every month. On first week every month, around KL (Klang Lama), one can go to KL Book Exchange to swap book.
On Used bookstores in KL, I found a few.
One is 5 mins north of Masjid Jamek LRT Station (Junk Bookstore). Some price is okay. And around there also the popular bookstores in Masjid India which no need to be re-introduce.
There's also one in Bangi, near Shell Station and JPJ Seksyen 7 (Kedai Buku Terpakai).
And as Samantha said, yes there're two same bookstore in KL Sentral, one is lower 1st floor behind 7-Eleven, another is upper 2nd floor near platform B of ETS. I found a few books, fiction (mostly) and some non-fiction too.
Hello, everyone. I'm selling my used books online. instagram @prelovedbooks_my. would appreciate if you check it out. thanks><
This is an old thread, hopefully everyone here has heard of the 'KL Book Exchange' group that meets on 1st sunday of the month at Tmn Desa TM tower.Alternatively, one can always borrow from national and city libraries that I have found carried most of the books in the genre I read.
I was passing through KL sentral last Friday and saw that sunmag is back. Didn't have time to check out the collection but will certainly do that soon.

Good, you can get Hardcover/thick books for RM10
Bad, some books are thin and small and may not worth paying for RM 10
It's a bookstore with rare not really super popular titles so you can find real gems. I don't think it's sorted according to genre though :)
