I love books because they are windows to other worlds, other lives, other people and other possibilities. :)

Yes! :-)
Yes! :-)
I love the escape of reading. I've traveled to other countries and other dimensions without leaving my reading chair.
I love to read because it gives me not only a chance to visit other places and times and alternate realities, but also because I learn something new every time I read, even if it's something I've read before. Stephen King once said that "Books are portable magic" and he's right.
Oh, and I don't need either in print since I've already got most of those novellas in print already!
I love books because they keep me connected to the world, to others. They inspire thought, conversation, and even action. They keep me (relatively) sane.
For me books are a possibility to relax, to discover new things, open my mind for thoughts, I wouldn't have on my own. To learn something, to gain a piece of happiness, when there is not so much to find in my day to day life. To escape, when I am in pain. To get drunken on words. To live in other strange worlds, enjoy that and then be happy to have my own world. Books are my friends.
I was a shy child. And a shy teen. Still kind of. I know, kinda sad LOL. But once I learned how to read, first comics, then books, the world opened up to me. Worlds. It got addictive. The books became and still are my comfort, my friends, my relax time and window into other people's stories. I love everything about them: the smell of a new book, old book, the covers, the bookstore hunt, people I met... Yeah, I kinda love books :).
I love books because I get to meet new people, travel to different places, experience new places; all without ever getting out of my seat. And maybe someday if I'm lucky enough, I'll actually get the real experience too!
There is nothing more relaxing than reading. After a hard day to lay down in your favorite reading nook, with a book that takes you away from the days trouble and into a magical world that leaves to happy and sated. How I keep my insanity in difficult times. How I learn about the world and broaden my horizon. How I release all my emotions, laughter and tears.
I love them too. I am travelling in the North of England at the moment and it is nice to come back to my hotel and books in the evening. :)

I'm taking part in the drawing, but... I love books because sometimes they make me forget what time/day of the week is it, sometimes they plunge me more in my reality («This is exactly how I'm feeling/how I felt when...»). They make me learn things, feel emotions, make me alive. They offer sanctuary in dire moments.
Hey! You're all impatiently waiting for the winner to be announced, aren't you? :-)
