It can be assumed that the staff that run the park are aware of Slender Man because the phamplet for the park on the building you start next to states that formal attire, including dark suits like Slender Man's, are discouraged.

It's likely that another area of the park was the setting for Slender: The Eight Pages, as the radio tower can be seen in the background of the "Genesis" mission.
